In this new episode we sit down with Laura Swanton Rouvelin, an ultra-runner, coach and working mum who is used to exploring and pushing her limits. This year she was the only women, and the 4th ever to complete Hardmoors 200, a race that needs to be completed in 60 hours. She shares her experience in challenging herself with the speed on the 200miles distance, fueling, and sleeping strategy. We also discuss navigating pre-race nerves and self-doubt, building resilience, enjoying these adventures and becoming a running coach.
I hope you enjoy the episode and get as excited as Laura to get out there!

Thrilled to be joined by Charlotte Fisher today. She started running fairly recently, with the goal to run an ultra and raise money for charity in honor of her aunt. Since, she has found her passion and love for long distance trail running. In May, she was one of the 8th women to finish UTS 100miles, a beautiful race, but very challenging with a high DNF rate. We delve into her experience, some of the best and most challenging days of her life, aiming for the finish rather than the podium when it didn’t go her way, meeting people on route, and seeing northern lights. We also discuss imposter syndrome when being such a ‘new’ runner, as well as commitment and life changes that came with running.

Huge welcome to Sarah Perry on the podcast today. Growing up in the outdoors, she has a huge passion for being out in the elements and running. We delve into this adventure, the conditions, logistics, and the highs and lows. But we also discuss what she loves about the mental and physical challenges of long-distance running, dreaming big, and the self-discovery that comes with each mile.
There are a few mic noises at the beginning which we didn’t notice, please bare with us as everything Sarah is telling us is so so worth it. I hope you enjoy the episode and feel inspired to dream big!
