She shares the intelligence behind the Horopito plant and how it's natural adaption has something incredible to offer for our health.
We also end on a chat about conception and fertility - is there anything we can be doing before we even think of falling pregnant or as we are trying to optimise this experience? How soon before and more!

This week I talk all about CHOICE. Choosing to change is a choice, but so is staying the same. There’s a power in accepting this. You may feel like you’re in a job just because you need it. Or you have friendships just because you’re in that group but you really wouldn’t otherwise.Choosing to stay in that job or spend time with that friendship group is a choice. And here’s why it matters to own this.
If you're feeling helpless or stuck then this episode is just what you need to reframe and take back control of your life. I also do a deep dive into the power of gratitude and have also discussed this on a previous episode, in Monday Muse 9 which you can find here.
Send this on to a loved one or connect with us on Instagram @thebalancetheory and let me know what you loved most!

She is also super raw & vulnerable with me *TRIGGER WARNING* about her rock bottom and personal struggles growing up, which all came to a head in the peak of her 'business success'. This conflict ended up catapulting her into the most resilient and learning phase of her life, which has so much to teach us all. Today I am joined by Stefanie Jung who is a Holistic Online Health Coach & Yoga Teacher who has a focus on helping women heal their relationship with food & their bodies. She opens up to me about her own challenges with extreme dieting and binge eating, what helped her overcome it and most importantly, the biggest lessons she has learned.
We talk about destructive relationships with food, living a double life, self hate to self love, power in finding the right professional, red flags for when you may not have food freedom (Even I was surprised with myself), how food rules impact your ability to eat intuitively and the forbidden fruit effect.
We end on a chat about what balance with diet means, how we can use it as a form of self care and how to make a conscious decision to go unconscious with food. HONESTLY there was so much in today's chat, I can't write it all here, just listen and enjoy!
You can find her online course ‘Discover Food Freedom’ a 9-week self-guided program to help women ditch toxic diet culture, overcome binging & make peace with food and their bodies, here. Tune in to the episode for an exclusive code off this course!

Today I wanted to go deep into something that has been personally frustrating me lately, especially being in lockdown, and something I have spoken to many of you about in my IG DMs. It’s around this idea that we feel guilt when we haven’t utilised our time to the max, or in other words been productive. In a usual routine, non lockdown, Do you ever get that feeling at the end of your day where you just haven’t been that productive? Maybe you haven’t crossed off what you wanted from your todo list, or you actually have done some stuff and feel completely deflated for not having done enough?
Well I bet if you feel that sometimes, now during lockdown it’s probably hitting that nerve way harder in a different but somehow familiar way. One thing I’ve personally been struggling with is this idea that I have more time than ever right now, which should give me more time to slow down and relax, but I often feel the complete opposite? Join me as I explore why this is happening, productivity guilt, time anxiety and what you can do about it!

Today I am joined by Sam Wood who is the founder of 28 By Sam Wood, successful entrepreneur and businessman, as well an author and media commentator. It was so lovely chatting with Sam about all of the hats he wears in life, what balance means to him and some fantastic fitness tips too!
Waiting for a Monday? Maybe January 1st? Sam shares some tips on biting the bullet and getting started, not over complicated exercise and really connecting with our why. We chat biggest fitness mistakes, the fallacy of motivation, active mindfulness, and staying true to ourselves. Sam also takes me somewhere not many like to venture - that is, that there is no perfect balance. He humbly shares the aim of progress not perfection, and how to check in and make sure you aren'y chasing something that doesn't exist.
I know you're going to love this chat so much! Tag @thebalancetheory and @samjameswood and let us know what your biggest take away was!
