(If you DO want to sign up for the Pediatric Dental Marketing Course, sign up for the waitlist here!)

    ‍

    ‍

In this episode, Minal Sampat gives us the inside scoop on paid social media ads and how to make them perform most effectively. While branded content might look clean and professional, is it what people are searching for on Facebook and Instagram? Minal points to the importance of comments and engagement on posts, rather than highly branded content. She gives us one of her strategies on Facebook ads, where we target current followers of your page and people like them. This will result in a higher engagement rate, and then can be later boosted to new potential patients! When the new potential patients see more engagement and comments, they will be more inclined to click and learn more.

Be sure to listen or watch through this episode to catch Minal's best marketing tips on paid social media and more!

  • MMM [Google Ads] Effectively Communicating Your Value Proposition to Convert New Patients

In this episode, Kathryn Alderman, from Progressive Practice Solutions, gives us her top five tips for ramping up our conversion rates with potential patients:
    ‍

    1. Engage with potential patients - When you are running ads for new patients, you want to make sure that they engage with your landing page and spell out what makes your practice unique! Why are you the perfect practice for them?

    ‍

    2. Create a clickable title - Remember to include your value proposition within the title, and utilize key words to entice potential patients to click on your page. An effective description is important to have as well.

    ‍

    3. Include all the aspects of a high converting landing page - This involves stating your value proposition clearly and showing what you are offering. This can include engaging photos, videos, links to your YouTube channel, or other valuable content that positions you as an expert, and the perfect fit for them!
    ‍

    4. Answer phone calls - Once you have potential patients calling in, be sure to answer these calls right away! Including online scheduling and text options are also important considerations for the patient experience.
    ‍

    5. Mentor your team on how to deliver your value proposition message - One of the hardest and most rewarding parts of any marketing campaign is mentoring your team on vision and delivery of your offering and message!

Jump into this episode to catch Kathryn's breakdown of these steps and more!

    My Key Takeaways:

    • We all focus on that one negative review, try recognizing the many positive reviews too!
    • In a saturated market, investing in a unique logo and brand can be a way to stand out.
    • The problem with comparing yourself to your peers is that it makes your goals a moving target. Strive to be better than YOU were last year!
    • Set goals in multiple areas of your life, such as your practice, exercise, and healthy eating.
    • The path is very defined progressing through school, but when you have your own practice, you have to make that next step yourself!

(If you DO want to work with Wonderist, be sure to mention this podcast/ episode!)

Reach out to Wonderist here: https://offers.wonderistagency.com/thedentalmarketer

In this episode, Michael Anderson and Cait Lanning from Wonderist Agency, discuss the importance of following up with leads that come in through paid advertising. When you are paying for leads, whether it be calls to your office, filling out a form, or clicking on an offer, it is essential to follow up with these people! You may have heard of the marketing phrase "seven touch points," saying that it takes about seven interactions with your brand for a lead to take action. What Michael and Cait focus on in this interview is what happens after they take action. They go over funnels and how to lower the barrier for leads to interact, as well as how to keep them in the loop so they can make a decision down the line! Some leads might not be ready now, but if your practice is following up and keeping top of mind, they could be ready to become your patient even months later.

Do not miss out on this episode to catch Michael and Cait's breakdown of leads, funnels, and effective follow-up!

    My Key Takeaways:

    • Get involved in your buildout! There may be things that you spot during the process, that contractors might not.
    • Sometimes the speed of your decision making is just as important as clinical speed.
    • Try going into other practices and observing how they do things for insight before starting your own!
    • Do not be afraid to make mistakes! Learn from them and turn that into a process you can delegate.
    • Make time to relax in silence. Once starting a practice, there is not much down time, so find your peace in a drive home or moment to yourself.

Shane always gives all our listeners a: Free Marketing Analysis (just mention our podcast name)

In this episode, Shane Simmons, from Crimson Media Group, reminds us of the first three main things we need to think about with patients brought in by ad campaigns:

    ‍

    1. Answer the phone! Do not let the phones go to voicemail when people call after seeing an ad. These people are colder leads than referrals, and will quickly call the next in line. For this reason, try exclusively running ads during your call hours.
      ‍
    2. Get to the root of their problem. We always get the question "How much does 'procedure x' cost?" The answer to this question is unique to each patient. Asking great follow-up questions and inviting the caller in for a consultation will show you care, and give you a better understanding of their needs!
      ‍
    3. Send a personalized welcome video via email! When a patient schedules an appointment, send them an email with a video welcoming them to your practice and giving a short introduction on what you are all about. This does not have to be 100% personalized to each patient. Even a welcome video not mentioning names, can help add a personal touch!

    ‍

Be sure not to miss this episode, and get more in-depth on Shane's tips for ad campaigns, phone skills, and how to bring those patients in!

    My Key Takeaways:

    • Being out of network can improve the patient experience with less limitations on their care.
    • If you are not comfortable with a procedure, and do not have adequate training for it, do not feel like you have to do it.
    • Reaching out to local news sources to tell your story can be a great way to pick up buzz.
    • Consider going out of network with insurances if you have something unique to offer at your practice!
    • A lot of Doctors have imposter syndrome before and after graduating. Gain your confidence by practicing, and don't let others put you down!

    My Key Takeaways:

    • Usually three conditions need to be met for someone to steal: Pressure, Opportunity, and Rationalization.
    • Don't take shortcuts when hiring! Remember to check your state laws, and run background, drug, and credit history reports accordingly.
    • Try asking for multiple forms of identification at the first interview to rule out identity theft.
    • You are the business owner, so be sure to generate and check the end of day reports yourself!
    • Sometimes the most trusted of employees will find a way to rationalize stealing money or altering data.
    • If you suspect someone on your team is stealing, do not confront them immediately! Call a professional.
