Guess what, friends?! She did it! Jenn has officially had the best day of her life and has crossed off Heli Skiing from her bucket list!  In the conversation today, she shares her experience in full detail, including how cool it’s been riding around in a helicopter and learning how to work as a team leader.  We get the full scoop on CMH life and meals, including a newly made up meal called “dessinner” and what going into the holidays looks like. Brittany Carmona-Holt is a midwife’s assistant, a full spectrum doula, photographer and a very soon-to-be published author.  From someone who never thought she would get married or wanted kids, she’s now a wife and Mom, fully immersed in birth work.

In the conversation today, Brittany shares her three biggest life pivots, and how they brought her to a space where she’s stepped away from a business she built with her partner in wedding photography and is now a birth doula.  She talks about how miscarriage solidified her desire to be a Mom, and how birth work has brought Brittany into the space where she’s now combined her love and knowledge of birth work and tarot reading into her soon-to-be published book called “Tarot for Pregnancy.”

When Jenn came to visit, we drove up a logging road - a typical Kootenay adventure! - and took the recording gear with us to capture a fireside chat!  

The crackle sounds from the fire and the fresh air in our lungs had us in such a great space to record and we had such a blast!  We’re sure you’ll hear it amongst our chats about our dreams for our driver to catch a rainbow trout, Debbie the Beast, gratitude and The Five Minute Journal, cruise ships and what styles we shared growing up in the 90s…

Jenn got a new job! So we get all the details about her new two week on, one week off job in the mountains at a heli ski lodge! - but what does living out of a suitcase feel like this time around?

Ashley Wray worked as a journalist and loved it. After closing one particular case, she felt this internal shift and a sense of closure within her to explore something new. Completely unsure of what was coming next, Ashley went on a soul-searching trip. 

A chance meeting on a plane in Bali changed her life, and was a pivotal moment in her new direction towards becoming a CEO.

After Jenn’s 14 hour drive into the Kootenays, she’s ready to share some big news.  After nearly seven years as a passionate wedding and event planner, Jenn has resigned from her job and is welcoming new opportunities!
