As much as I'd like to "finish this year strong," your girl is tapping out. I had big plans to do big things by the end of the year, but you know what happened? Life. Nothing terrible happened; it's just that I've had the most profound desire to be still, be present, and slow down.  Now don't get me wrong, I love rolling up my sleeves and doing the work just like the next #GoalGetter, but recently, I've wanted nothing more than to just be. Be human. Be still. Be quiet. Have fun. Get rest. Watch movies, bake cookies, and love on my family and friends. So instead of spending the final days of 2021 grinding, selling, meeting, newslettering, Instagramming, and recording, I'm creating space to be. 

So what does that mean? Welp, it means that today is the final episode of the #SJSPodcast of 2021. I'll be returning with fresh new episodes on January 9th, 2022. Aside from announcing my month-long hiatus, in today's episode, I'm sharing why it's so essential for all of us to press pause + get back in alignment with our why.

Picture this:

It's time for you to make a pretty big decision in your life or business. What do you do? Do you call your momma and sister on a three-way to hear what they think? Or do you hop on Google and start devouring every single article you can find to help you come up with an answer? Or are you more of a-- sign-up for every course, masterclass, or training-- type of person? Why do you think you do that? Well, I think I have an answer because I just did all of that recently.

One reason that you keep looking to everybody else for guidance is that you're too afraid of the answer that's right there inside of you. You know the answer I'm talking about. The one that requires you to show up more, enforce your boundaries, take a leap of faith, and ask for more. We love saying, "I don't know what to do," when the truth of the matter is that often we know exactly what to do, but we're afraid to even go there because we've failed before. We don't trust that we can make good decisions, so we hope some person, place, or thing can make it for us. In today's episode, we're exploring the affirmation-- "I know what to do, and I trust myself." This episode is for you if you're ready to deepen your connection with yourself and start finding the answers within.

When your to-do list is a mile long, it's so easy to fall into the trap of working until the point of exhaustion. I get it; I hate leaving unfinished tasks on my to-do list. So what do I do? I work until the wee hours of the morning until everything is crossed off. I used to think that was cool until I realized that my life was bigger than my work. That there were other things, I wanted to do besides working around the clock. So in the name of work-life balance, I decided to give myself a hard stop. That's right, when the clock hits 5 pm every day; I am DONE. No more-- "well, let me just go for one more hour"-- once it's time to get off of work, I'm OFF. And making that shift in my business has been the biggest blessing EVER! So in today's #QuickTip, I'm challenging goal getters to schedule in a hard stop so you can get to living your best, full, multifaceted life!
