Monica writes, “Hello Susan - I LOVE your videos and amazing advice.My issue is that, in a relationship (from 9months-3yrs), the guy will lose interest or momentum, and realise later what they've lost. All of my old boyfriends have confessed their love for me long after the relationship has ended. This is incredibly frustrating. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from continuing to happen? Thanks”

Ed writes, “Hello Susan, Here are my thoughts on a video request. As we experience the grief from a heartbreak, we also have a variety of emotions to deal with (as you have discussed in videos). One huge additional thing I'm not sure you have covered is the reality of how to deal with the thought and feeling of knowing your former Lover is having sex with someone new or will be having sex with someone new. Thank you”

Erika writes: “What are your thoughts on the law of attraction and its role in getting an ex back? I've read that some people have used it to get their exes back with great success. However, it sounds like this method involves giving them all the power. Won't this have the opposite effect as that person feeds off that energy? You mentioned your ex only reached out to you when you had decided it was over.”

However, when we bump into each other he is either pretending not to remember our last conversation to play it cool, or he's really not paying attention. This is the double bind where if you speak up to bad behavior or voice a complaint, it's all ‘too much' for your mate. Partner's who play the ‘no drama threat' box you into compliance and insist upon your silence by pulling away as punishment. No complaints are allowed. Therefor, no healthy relationship can be formed.
