In this episode, I talk to Jonathan Van Geuns. He shares his running journey and his experience at the Cocodona 250 race. Jonathan starts by explaining how he start running consistently about six years ago and gradually transitioned to trail running. He had always been fascinated by trail running and was drawn to the challenge and the beauty of the mountains. In his recap on Cocodona 250, he explains some challenges towards the end of the race, including back pain, but he learned valuable lessons about managing stress and staying in the green zone of his nervous system. He also talks about the difficult sections of the race, including the downhill from Mingus and the rocky terrain. Jonathan shares his takeaways from the race, including his love for ultrarunning and his desire to continue pushing his limits. Jonathan credits his amazing crew and the support of his partner for his success in the race and he reflects on the importance of having a supportive crew during his Cocodona 250 race.
