If you feel like you aren't moving in the direction of where you want to be in 2023, (join the club and) listen to this episode today!
We all feel off track sometimes, and taking time to reflect helps us find more peace and clarity and get focused on what matters most in our lives.
There is no better time than mid-year to reflect!
In this episode, I share my five favorite prompts that help me reflect on my progress in life. These prompts are:
No. 1 In the past six months, what are you proud of yourself for? And how will you celebrate these accomplishments today?
No. 2 What is working in your life right now? I will talk about what and who is giving you "high-vibe" energy…
No. 3 What isn't working? Obstacles, roadblocks? What is giving you low-vibe energy
No. 4 On December 31st, what is one thing you would like to accomplish? And why does this matter to you?
No. 5 What are 1-3 action steps you can take from today until the end of the year to help you achieve this accomplishment?
I forgot to mention in this episode is to focus on progress, not perfection (I can't believe I forgot that one!)
One more thing….I'm proud of how far you've come, not just this year but in life!
Thank you for listening, friend!

Episode 249
Hello, friend! I'm honored to share my guest with you today.
Donna is a fellow listener of To 50 and Beyond who reached out to me to share her story with you to let you know you are not alone and give you a boost of "alcohol-free" inspiration and encouragement.
Donna is a wonderful woman, who I now consider a friend, and I think you will too.
Today, you will hear Donna's Story from the beginning of her drinking and how her drinking escalated in her 30s and 40s, and the signs she received which made her question her relationship with alcohol and stop drinking.
Donna is 55 years old and celebrated 3 years alcohol-free on 12 April 2023. Previously identifying as a party girl, Donna never considered stopping drinking prior to her "Easter epiphany" in 2020.
Donna lives with her husband Shane and elderly rescue dog Zac near Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. She works as a paralegal in Abuse Law but would love to study counseling and maybe start a sober podcast with her husband Shane.
Enjoy the conversation, and thank you for listening, you ROCK!

Episode 248
Depression affects everyone, regardless of gender or age. By hiding our depression, we make it harder to accept and express ourselves and increase the struggle to live as our authentic selves. We adopt destructive perfectionism behaviors that make it more difficult to show vulnerability in an attempt to present a flawless image to the world.
Dr. Margaret Rutherford is here to talk about her book, Perfectly Hidden Depression: How to Break Free From the Perfectionism That Masks Your Depression.
Dr. Margaret Rutherford is a clinical psychologist with thirty years of experience as well as an author and podcaster. Her highly popular podcast, The SelfWork Podcast, has been continuously rated as one of the best for mental health and depression, earning 1.3 M downloads in 2022 alone (total near 4 M, IAB stats).
Dr. Margaret shares her journey to acceptance, the link between depression and destructive perfectionism, and the signs of Perfectly Hidden Depression.
This episode shares information about the ideations of suicide. Please listen with care.
