The most important decision you will in your career EVER make is the person with whom you choose to have a relationship.
Today, I had the pleasure of chatting with Kelly Roach, an 8 figure entrepreneur, owner of 6 businesses, who successfully balances career and family. Kelly emphasizes the importance of prioritizing relationships and structuring business around personal values. Starting her business part-time while working full-time taught her discipline and time management. She stresses the significance of quality time with family, leaving distractions like phones aside during these moments. We discussed the challenge of maintaining balance in relationships, especially when one partner is highly invested in their career. Open communication about values and roles is crucial for harmony. Kelly advises aligning business with personal values to create a fulfilling life rather than fitting life around work. Prioritizing family and creating space for meaningful connection fosters a healthy balance between personal and professional life.

Welcome back, friends! I'm thrilled to be joined by Neeta Bhushan, author of "That Sucked, Now What?" and co-founder of the Higher Self Institute. Today, we're diving into trauma bonding and how to cultivate healthier relationships, even amidst pain.
Neeta shares her journey, starting from a trauma-bonded relationship characterized by love bombing and codependency, leading to a dark point where she feared for her life. Despite success in her career, she faced internal struggles from early losses and abandonment wounds.
Leaving her toxic marriage marked a turning point, where she embraced vulnerability and sought help, beginning a seven-year journey of self-healing. She emphasizes the importance of making peace with the past and being radically honest about one's emotional awareness.
Neeta reflects on her pattern of seeking validation externally, a common trait among high achievers, and how it led to attracting toxic partners. She highlights the need to shift focus inward, finding self-love and validation rather than seeking it from others.
Drawing from her experiences, Neeta empowers others to break the cycle of trauma bonding by prioritizing self-awareness and emotional capacity. She stresses the importance of healing oneself before seeking validation in relationships, advocating for radical self-honesty and introspection.
Both Neeta and Dr. Sarah share their experiences with unhealthy relationships, emphasizing the journey of self-discovery and healing. They underscore the significance of facing oneself in the mirror and addressing internal wounds rather than seeking healing through external relationships.

Hello and welcome back. Today, I'm going to delve a little deeper into the issues we have about our self-worth. The reason for this is because many people come to me with relationship problems, feeling unappreciated or undervalued. Regardless of the relationship issues they present, the common thread is doubt in their self-worth. This doubt manifests in how we view ourselves and what we believe we deserve, ultimately affecting our relationships.
You may relate to the idea that two people can enter the same difficult relationship but respond differently. One might assert themselves while the other struggles with shame or guilt. The success of our relationships reflects what's going on inside us, not just the relationship itself. So, let's talk about self-worth and its limitations.
Our self-worth is based on past experiences, especially during our formative years. Explicit experiences, like critical parents, and implicit ones, like feeling flawed despite parental support, shape our self-worth. We create upper and lower limits for our worth based on these experiences.
The upper limit is what we believe we're worthy of receiving or achieving. Anything beyond this makes us uncomfortable or guilty. We either reject it or feel undeserving. The lower limit is what we won't tolerate in relationships. We're unlikely to accept treatment below this limit.
As our experiences fluctuate within our worth bandwidth, we adjust our expectations accordingly. If someone treats us above our limit, we may feel guilty or reject

Let's talk about self-love today. Why is it crucial? It's necessary in any relationship, whether you're single and looking for a partner or struggling with your current relationship. Social media talks a lot about self-love, but here's my take. Loving yourself isn't easy. If you're listening, you've probably dealt with self-doubt and insecurity, making it hard to love yourself freely. Conditional assumptions about love, like "I'll love myself if I achieve X," add to the struggle. So, how do we love ourselves unconditionally? It's about realizing our worth regardless of achievements or appearances. This can be tough to grasp because we're used to conditional worth.
Breaking out of this cycle is crucial. Self-criticism reinforces conditional worth, creating a negative loop. This loop becomes ingrained in our brains, affecting our emotions and responses. But breaking this cycle changes relationships. It improves communication, boundaries, and confidence. So, how do we break free?
It's about understanding the deeper intentions behind self-criticism. We often criticize ourselves to motivate improvement, but this stems from childhood experiences and circumstances. Forgiving our past selves and recognizing that worth isn't tied to achievements or circumstances is key. It's about offering ourselves the same compassion we would a friend in need.
So, write down messages of self-compassion and repeat them daily to rewire our brains for unconditional self-love. It's a process of unlearning old beliefs and embracing infinit

Today, we're diving into why self-love is crucial for successful relationships, whether you're single, in a committed relationship, or navigating the dating scene. Let's explore why prioritizing self-love is essential for both you and your relationships.
Many people hear the advice to love themselves more, but the true significance of this often gets overlooked. Think of self-love as the foundation of a house you're building. Without a sturdy foundation, your house won't stand strong. Similarly, for a relationship to thrive, you need a solid foundation within yourself.
I've seen countless clients struggle in relationships, experiencing pain and heartache. Often, they blame external factors or their partners, but the truth is, our internal state plays a significant role. Relationships serve as mirrors, reflecting our inner workings. If our internal landscape isn't healthy, our relationships will suffer.
Consider two individuals dating the same person. One may confidently walk away from a toxic situation, recognizing their worth and ability to heal. The other may cling to the hope that their partner can fix them, perpetuating a cycle of unhealthy relationships.
Your foundation dictates the dynamics of your relationships. With a strong sense of self-love, you're less likely to tolerate harmful behaviors or engage in self-sabotage. You'll establish boundaries and communicate effectively, fostering a healthier connection.
Furthermore, a solid foundation attracts security. Anxiously and avoidantly attached ind

want to talk about something many of us experience. You ever feel like you're working tirelessly, yet things just aren't improving? Maybe in your relationship, you're constantly walking on eggshells, avoiding uncomfortable conversations, or trying to make excuses for your partner's behavior. You find yourself doing more and more, hoping it'll keep your partner happy and the relationship intact.
But let me tell you, I've seen this pattern before. People like you pour their energy into superficial fixes like financial success, physical appearance, or even sexual promiscuity, thinking it'll save the relationship. But the truth is, it's often the wrong focus.
You might feel temporarily relieved when things seem to improve, but soon enough, you're back to feeling anxious and empty. You're stuck in this cycle because you're not addressing the real issues. Instead of diving deep into emotional connection, vulnerability, and trust, you're chasing after surface-level fixes.

I discuss how individuals often question whether their feelings of anxiety or insecurity are self-generated or provoked by their partner's behavior. I emphasize the importance of discerning between personal issues and those originating from the partner, as failing to do so can lead to ongoing anxiety and uncertainty within the relationship.
I illustrate how individuals often initially blame themselves, assuming their anxieties are unfounded, but over time, these behaviors persist, leading to confusion when attempting to address them with the partner. I explain how you may unwittingly internalize blame, leading to a normalization of problematic behaviors in the relationship.
Furthermore, I explore the concept of projections, explaining how your personal histories and insecurities influence behavior within relationships. I discuss examples where individuals attempt to compensate for perceived inadequacies by striving to meet unrealistic standards set by themselves or their partners. These behaviors, rooted in childhood experiences, become projected onto the relationship, shaping interactions and dynamics.
I encourage introspection to identify and challenge these deeply ingrained beliefs, emphasizing the need for professional support to navigate these complexities effectively. I stress the importance of understanding your own projections before attempting to address issues within the relationship, as this clarity enables you to communicate more effectively and work towards mutual healing and growth as a couple.

In this discussion, we're exploring the recurring question of whether someone is in love with the reality of their relationship or if they're enamored with the potential of their partner. The speaker delves into scenarios where individuals might be facing challenges and repeating patterns in their relationships. The central question posed is whether one loves their partner for who they are or if they're holding onto an idealized vision of what the partner could become.
The talk emphasizes three key considerations:

In this discussion, I want to talk about the dynamic of victimhood within relationships. It's a challenging topic, and I always aim to be honest, even if the conversation is uncomfortable. My intention is rooted in compassion and love to help you improve, heal, and progress. If you feel triggered, seek support and prioritize self-care.
Victimhood in relationships often involves blaming a partner for causing hurt. While it's valid to acknowledge harmful behaviors, consistently pointing fingers can disempower you. A prevalent trend is labeling behaviors as toxic but continuously blaming the partner. This approach inadvertently gives them power and control over you.
The Karpman drama triangle illustrates that when feeling like a victim, one may identify a persecutor (the bad guy) and wait for a rescuer to save them. This dynamic puts a lot of responsibility on the person who caused the harm. While it's natural to hope for change and apologies, relying on external validation perpetuates victimhood.
The key is to recognize that your emotions are valid without needing someone else to acknowledge them. Empowerment comes from internal resources, and pointing fingers or waiting for validation from the person who hurt you keeps you in a disempowered state. True empowerment involves looking inward, recognizing your worth, and redirecting the energy you use to support others towards yourself.
Breaking the cycle of victimhood requires understanding that you don't need external validation to heal. Instead, focus
