As I come up on my 4 year anniversary of being fired, I think about all the advice I’d share with my younger self that I now know. Where would I be if I left my toxic job 10 years ago instead of holding on to the comfort and betting on others rather than myself? So here’s the advice: take a moment to gauge how the people around you are treating you and ask yourself these questions: do they appreciate my time, thoughts, and opinions? If not, get out of there as fast as you can! It’s time to shine a light on the shame, honor yourself, and find the solutions.
