Cathryn Wills established Sans Beast in June 2017, after a career spanning close to
30 years in the Australian fashion industry.
The late 80’s saw time in retail at Benetton, followed by various roles at Palmer Corporation, before gaining a BA Fashion at Melbourne’s RMIT. A substantial chapter at Country Road then followed, where Wills worked in knitwear, eventually becoming Knitwear Design Manager across the men’s and women’s divisions.
Post leaving Country Road, Wills pursued a freelance design career for a number of
years, before finding her niche at Mimco, joining founder and former owner Amanda
Briskin (-Rettig) in 2004. Wills went on to the role of Creative Director post the sale
of the business, and in 2010, expanded her creative remit to encompass the
commercial leadership of the brand, as Managing + Creative Director.
After living and breathing the world of leather handbags + accessories for over a
decade, Wills adopted a vegetarian diet in mid 2015 - going vegan 18 months later -
and progressively recognized a disconnect between her professional role and her
ethical stance on animal welfare and the environment. Through further education,
Wills saw the need to change her consumptive and creative path, eventually
resigning from MIMCO in early 2016.
In establishing Sans Beast, Wills has dedicated herself to building a design led,
quality brand, with compelling visual + written storytelling. The brand sources
responsibly manufactured, non-leather materials for the collection + manufactures in
an ethically run, family owned factory in Southern China. Sans Beast is PETA
accredited vegan + donates to animal sanctuary, Edgars Mission with every
purchase made on the website.

If you spend money how you're currently spending your time, would you be broke? This is a question I've been challenging my coaching clients on recently when they tell me they haven't followed through on the work. If you're not using time to your advantage and following through on what truly matters to you, then it's no wonder you're tired, exhausted, pissed off or burnt out. Aka, you're energetically broke.
I've been using a new technique recently to use my time more wisely and intentionally (my word for this year is "intentional"). Have a listen to apply this technique so you're no longer "broke".

One area where you can build authenticity and the ace feelings it brings, is to match your actions to your words. You would've heard the phrase, "practice what you preach", and this is exactly what I'm talking about. Too many times you may say things about love and light, but act in ways that have zip-a-dee-doo-da with those words. You may preach about forgiveness but are being stubborn as all fk about a past situation. This is being out of alignment and chips away at being authentic.
Living true to your word (and you ain't going to get it perfect every time) is one way you can begin the journey towards being authentic, or sharpen yourself up if you're already on that journey.

Oki doki, you've set a word or theme for the new year and that's ace. But have you got a plan to integrate and embody that theme into areas of your life? If your word is LET GO - how will you be in the practice of letting go day to day, moment to moment and make the concept a reality?
Listen to today's episode for a coaching process I share to help you out.

Alrighty, it's the last episode of the year and jeepers creepers it's been a year that has tested all of us in different ways. There's been some epic lessons that have knocked on my door that I've chosen to learn from and continue to evolve this little human self of mine. I'm a firm believer of reflecting regularly and not waiting until the end of year to do a major reflect and possibly being overwhelmed with needing to make change, or being a bull at a gate and then losing momentum too quickly. Anyhoo, here's some of my lessons learned this year and how I got about reflecting as I go.
I just have to say a massive thank you to ALL OF YOU for listening to my podcast and being epic humans for choosing me to serve your souls. I am so appreciative of every single on of you.

I love this human so damn much! Nicole Hahn is a fellow lululemon ambassador which is where we met just over a year ago. Uber recently she was part of a lululemon shorts campaign which brought up a lot of my bullshit stories and shame around my legs. I have always told myself, "I'm not a shorts gal", when in truth, I was too afraid to wear them for the fear of being judged. Her voice and message around this inspired me and so many women to say FK YES to wearing shorts and not giving a fk anymore about how they look!
If you experience shame around your body and are in need of inspo and fresh perspective, listen up to this legend!

Back in 2017 I went to a Vipassana 10 day meditation course. For some months before booking myself in I was intrigued and called to partake in this experience, but my mind was afraid to do it. I doubted that I could endure not speaking, looking at anyone, writing and expressing myself. In truth, I was afraid to be with my own mind without distraction. But alas, the call to go was too strong and off I went. In today's episode I share my experience, lessons and takeaways.

If I could describe Dani Stevens, it'd be that she is a HUGE ray of sunshine. Man is one heck of an energy - she's legit palpable and oozes vibrancy. She is someone who is living in alignment with her truth that continues to evolve and I have major respect for that.
Her vivacious personality and down to earth sense of humour is part of her success in motivating others to take control of their lives through health and fitness. Once a corporate ladder climber and living the hustle and bustle life, her journey from burning the candles at all ends to becoming her own version of superwoman, is very inspiring. She began to motivate women by sharing her weight loss (100kg weight loss) journey online in 2012 which took on a life of its own and has opened so many amazing doors and opportunities.
Just talking to Dani you can't help but think, "shit, if she can do it, I can too!" She's an incredible role model for us all and I'm so stoked to bring her to your lives.

I am in the process of healing my body from sexual abuse trauma. My mind is like, "are you for real dud? You've done a fk tonne of work on this matter and mentally feel really good about it!", however, my body needs some attention and healing.
When my step-daughter's are here and I hear them walking down the stairs on down the hall, my body literally freezes. My mind logically knows it's them but my body is right back in the moment of being sexually abused. This has been happening intermittently over the last three years and it takes me some time to calm my body down. So I reached out to my White Witch of a Kinesiologist, Elena Pilch, to help me heal the residual trauma in my body.
