Great, you're starting therapy, but how do we be sure we'll get the most from it? and what if we've had bad experiences in the past? what is our responsibility? and how do other aspects of recovery impact how well we engage with therapy? In this episode I provide my top tips for making the most of therapy and explore each of these questions in detail.
In this episode I explore the role of acceptance and responsibility (externalising vs internalising struggle) in recovery from an eating disorder. I always promote journaling throughout recovery and provide reflective questions to help you delve deeper into the areas of acceptance and responsibility in your own recovery.

In this episode I talk through how to apply the skill 'opposite action' in recovery from an eating disorder.
Opposite action is a skill from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). I give personal insights, plenty of examples and practical advice around how to successfully utilise this skill in your own recovery.

For many in recovery from an eating disorder Christmas feels overwhelming due to the lack (or change) of routine and availability of food. In this short but very sweet episode I cover the importance of creating a routine for Christmas events, shifting the focus from food to festivities and much more.
