A quieter week once again on the racing front, but we've got all the usual segments, including training recaps, a Strava moan, a couple of listener questions and a roundup of all the latest news.

 

Shane has been busy this week completing the race double that has surely never been attempted before in history. 24 miles during the three peaks on Tuesday and then Bassy Bash 5 miler on Saturday - no surprise that his legs are shot by Sunday.

 

Josh fails to connect to his main cycling race on Saturday lunchtime, so resorts to attempting a double race instead - no surprise that his heart rate goes above threshold during his long run the following day.

 

Aaron completes a full week of running for the first time in forever, which includes a few double days and 25 min runs inspired by his hero Joshua Lunn - the big surprise here is he doesn't get ill this week.

Things have all gone a bit quiet in the world of athletics, with the World championships only a few weeks away.

 

Shane has been racing over 5k this week and is pleasantly surprised at the result. He has also been running up a few hills and reveals his next challenge (which has already happened by the time this show comes out).

 

Josh continues his build back to fitness with another progression to the volume of his session. He may or may not get a little carried away with the pace on the reps and on the float, what do you reckon happens?

 

Aaron quits the sport on Tuesday, but is back in action by Thursday and has some positive improvements by the weekend.

Back again for another week, plenty to talk about this week with two diamond leagues to catch up on. Including some ridiculously fast times in Monaco and some exciting racing in London. Plus, we’ve got all of the other usual bits and pieces to chat about with a recap of our training weeks, a listener question or two to answer.

A big episode coming at you with news of some fast action from Europe on the track. Plus, we look at Kipchoge's decision to race in Berlin and look ahead to Monaco and London diamond league action this coming week.

 

Josh somehow managed to pass his latest accountancy exam and inspired by the Tour he continues to push his limits on the bike.

 

Shane is adding a little bit of intensity to his weeks and we get into why he runs his sessions at a slightly more dialled-back intensity than most do.

 

Aaron is back in some form and is hoping for a gradual improvement and hopes to finally start his journey towards some respectability in Malaga.

The boys are back after a brief hiatus due to Aaron being poorly in Florence.

 

Josh is smashing plenty of Zwift action on the bike and has even been doing some virtual racing over the last couple of weeks.

 

Shane is getting a little bit of consistency together in his running, he just needs to sort his life management out now.

 

Aaron is... you know what, I can't be bothered to type it again.

 

Plenty of chat around doping this week, British champs and Just Stop Oil protests.

Anyway, Shane managed a 10k race last week, which was good, but his run the following day was the opposite in more ways than one.

 

Josh is in love with cycling, he's gone full Tour de France mode and is challenging for all sorts of Zwift crowns on Strava.

 

Surprise, surprise, Aaron is ill again (might just copy and paste this into the footnotes of every episode), so he gets grilled by Shane and Josh on his silly approach to a comeback.

Apologies for the delay, on recording Aaron mentioned he wouldn't have another poor training week, but he's gone and got Laryngitis... so this is a bit late in coming out again!

In an uneventful running week for the boys, luckily there's plenty to talk about from the likes of the Paris Diamond League, where three world records went!

 

Josh is slowly getting back to some running, but he's also hopping on and off trains during this episode, so he's brief with the details.

 

Shane is doing some consistent running, but making sure he's being sensible with his knee still causing him some bother. Although, his ginger skin didn't enjoy the warmer temps on his Saturday run, so he should probably be sensible and skip summer running completely.

 

While Aaron has decided the only way he is going to get some motivation is to enter Malaga marathon live on the show, but he even gets distracted and fails to do that...

Josh is on the road to recovery and back in the gym, he gives insightful analysis into how best to run in Crocs.

Aaron has done a week of sessions and very little easy running, but on a rare easy run this week he gets chased by a badger.

While, Shane is king of the mileage for a second week in a row, but still thinks he's in the worst shape of the lot.

Josh has progressed a little this week and he can now wear trousers and even manages to do some strength testing with the physio, if you can call it "strength" that is.

 

Shane is back doing sessions, but has some bowel problems as he tries to return to some intensity in his running week.

 

While Aaron is still moaning about long Covid, zzzzzzz.
