I can’t believe I finally get to say this…
Welcome, welcome, welcome to the very first episode of LIVE FROM BED!!!!
I’m so excited I can’t handle it, but at long last we are breathing new life into our podcast baby and with that comes a name change. The artist formerly known as Tell Me About It is now LFB!
This show has grown so much since we first started and you and I have changed so much in all the worst and best ways so, to reflect that, I thought it was time we shake things up around here. This show will be more of the same things you know and love and so. much. more. We’re getting more raw, giving more behind the scenes, more of my secrets will be told, and best of all we’ll be able to continue the conversation past the episodes each week with exciting extra episodes, live shows, etc. (more on that later…)
BUT as you all know, bed is the higher power I believe in. It’s my center of gravity: the place where I hide from the world, where my friends and I gossip, where my husband and I…hang out…, where I dream, dread, and dine. So I’m inviting you guys, my cherished pajama friends, into bed with me. So we can continue to commiserate, laugh and cry, evolve and regress together all from a horizontal position.
Welcome to the new and improved. I’m so grateful. AND I LOVE YOU.

This week Tinx joined the LfB group chat to talk VERY openly about the rollercoaster year she’s had.
We talked about the theories she grew famous for, the tweets that got her canceled, and the book she wrote about it all: ‘The Shift’.
You may think you know her, or that you’ve made your mind up about her controversies, and hear me when I say all opinions are valid and welcome. What she reveals in this conversation is her firsthand, very personal account of what that experience was actually like to go through-–judgment and morality aside. To rise and fall, to have the internet and people you thought were your friends turn against you, to have to own the worst things you’ve done, and resist the urge to abandon yourself when everyone else is running for the hills…when the love and fame suddenly turns into public hate.
You’ll hear her talk about all of it in this episode, like never before.
The first half of our conversation is about everything from what would happen if people were honest about their relationships, choosing whether or not to sleep with someone you started dating, the tightrope-walk of living with the Big Three (Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD), to the failproof sex position Tinx swears by. Then, we take a deep dive into the darker side of Tinx’s story.
As always, I want to know what you guys think - so DM me and we’ll talk allllll about it. And stay tuned for our big show announcement next Tuesday…

I hate to be this girl BUT…we have a crazy exciting announcement for you next week so while we get ready for that I thought it’d be fun to revisit one of my favorite episodes.
Fun fact: I grew up next door to the Playboy Mansion. So, to me, the girls next door really were the Girls Next Door.
It added another layer to my already colorful childhood, with parties and peacocks that kept me up for all hours of the night.
But one incredible day in 2005, E! Released a brand new show called…THE GIRLS NEXT DOOR, and the lives of every millennial girl changed forever. The Girls Next Door was a reality show about The Playboy Mansion, Hugh Hefner and his three girlfriends Holly, Bridget and Kendra. These dynamic women quickly became the stars of the show, and captured the hearts of families and young women nationwide. The show gave us a look inside the wild lifestyle of three very different women with one common interest: their boyfriend. It showed their extravagant costumes, the parties they’d host, vacations and day trips all over the world, their butlers, lavish lifestyle, and many, many dogs.
But, as with most things, their lives weren’t quite what they seemed. In addition to all the fun and playfulness the show captured, there was jealousy, manipulation, body issues, infighting, and a dark side to the boyfriend they were basically employed by.
And damn, did we GO THERE… Holly and Bridget joined me on this week’s episode, and didn’t hold back about the years they lived at the mansion, dated Hef, and starred in (in my opinion !!!) one of the best reality shows of all time. Not only did we reminisce on the years we spent as neighbors, but they let me in on the secrets of the mansion, Hef’s world, the parts they’d rather forget, and everrrrryyything in between.
We explored Holly’s neurodivergence, some of the sexual aspects of the girls’ relationships with Hef, how they feel about his death, and how it impacts the way they think about him now. They told me all about the drama inside the mansion, the excuses they’d use to get out of going out or sex, diet culture within the house, the rules they were expected to follow, and answered ALL our burning, behind-the-scenes questions we’ve spent the last decade dying to know. Don’t quote me on this, but this might be one of the juiciest TMAI episodes of all time.

This week I invited best-selling author, 15-year veteran of the beauty and fashion industry, Succession devotee, and secret hand model DANIELLE PRESCOD to hang with me.
In October of 2022, Danielle released “Token Black Girl” - a refreshingly honest memoir about racial identity, pop culture, and delusions of perfection.
This hour-long heart-to-heart is filled to the brim. We talked about everything from fibroids and egg-freezing, to growing up as one of the only Black girls in her school in Connecticut, and how that influenced (and maybe even catalyzed) her disordered eating. We dove into how she and her family are coping with her sister’s new role on Bravo’s hit show Summer House, and explored the concept of making peace with the idea of starting a family without a partner… and how that might radically change the experience of everyone desperately “searching” for their other half.
I can’t recommend this book enough…

HOW are we already at 100 episodes!? It feels like this show started just yesterday, but at the same time, it’s hard to imagine what my life was ever like without it. Most importantly, I have to give the biggest thank you to you guys. My pajama friends. Those of you who have been here since episode one, those of you who are just starting to listen today…it’s not lost on me what a privilege it is to be in your ear and get to tell you all my secrets, to commiserate and laugh with you each week. You guys are the coolest – the most emotionally intelligent, and strong, and getting to know you through our DMs has been the most fulfilling thing - I'm so damn grateful for it every day. I’m crazy about you guys, and I’ll save the rest of the mush for the episode.
Now onto the good stuff…
This week I roped Catherine into uncovering a childhood memory most of us experienced… and maybe even would rather forget. We uncover the truth behind “playing house”, the suppressed memories, cringey experiences, and what the role we played says about us as adults. Additionally we chatted about bad Venmo behavior, texting etiquette, and the universally terrible experience of being told you look like (or act like) someone else…
YOU ARE MY PEOPLE AND I ADORE YOU. Thank you for 100 episodes.

After two looooong and hellish weeks, I have risen from the depressive hole I’ve been stuck in. Weeks of endless rumination, causeless exhaustion, an unfamiliar flavor of hopelessness, an inability to access my real personality or a genuine laugh, and what felt like failing at everything - from my personal relationships to my job and everything in between.
When you’re in a depressive episode, it can feel like time stands still… and you wonder if you’ll ever feel like yourself again. Basics like showering feel next to impossible, and the distance between your bed and the front door feels miles long. And even though the fog has temporarily lifted, and I’m so gratefull to feel like me again, I know my depression will kick in again one day - maybe soon, maybe not - and that truth is hard to accept.
Coming back to life after a depressive episode can feel defeating – to put it lightly. There’s the endless unanswered emails, piles of laundry, missed calls, text messages you haven't responded to, plans you’ve canceled, and friendships you haven’t tended to in weeks… or months. You feel inescapably behind on, well, everything… and the mountain of catch-up you have to climb feels steep as hell. How do you explain to people why you’ve avoided them? How do you make it up to your family members? And beyond that, how do you try to act like yourself when you don’t feel like yourself?
So since I’m freshly on the other side…for now…I thought we should talk about it. Thanks for always being here to listen ❤️

Look who’s back!!! By *very* popular demand, my sister and best friend Jessica Iovine is back on the pod and ready to call me out. Our favorite therapist (and big sister) offered some very insightful advice… while I offered some very questionable advice… while Catherine played referee. We sat in the shit together and compared notes on everything that’s been going ~not great~ recently…
We talked *argued* about big sister vs. little sister struggles. I got some advice about a recent drunk reconciliation, we shared our passionate beliefs about gift-opening etiquette, and we discussed the parts of our childhood we’re still working through in therapy.
Fear not, Jess promised she’ll be back to record with us a lot more this season, so get ready for many more sister secrets in the near future!

This week I dumped all of my friendship drama into the TMAI group chat. It seems like maintaining friendships is harder than ever, so I called for an emergency meeting to discuss the main quandaries plaguing our fragile, modern relationships…
Catherine and I dissect friendship love languages and talk about the question everyone seems to be asking: “is my friend mad at me or is it just a long-distance friendship?”
Have you ever wondered:
What do I do if I HATE my friend’s significant other?
How do I tell an acquaintance that I don't want to take the next step and become friends?
How do I know if the roles are reversed - and an acquaintance doesn’t want to be friends with me?
What do I do if my best friend's crisis is starting to take up too much of my life?
What if I’m jealous of my friend's relationship with another friend?
We also discuss the art of shit-talking, and dealing with friends who are “lumpers”.
Oh! And I buried the lead! This episode starts with my mom’s legendary “Bed Recipe” and what exactly you need to create the comfiest bed of all time.

Yes, I know, I’ve said it about other episodes in the past, sure, but I really mean it when I say this is one of my favorite episodes in Live From Bed history.
Catherine and I reaaaallllyyy went there. We talked about the politics of friendship when it comes to staying friends with someone your best friend hates. And what about when your best friend maintains a friendship with someone who betrayed you? We discussed the fragile ties that bind us to those precious few for whom we choose to press the “follow back” button. I provided three scenarios and asked Catherine my favorite question: “would you follow them back?”
We got deep into the weeds of cheating by identifying the five types of cheaters, as well as the five ways people cheat. We shared our own experiences and the (shock and awe at) our differing opinions on traditional sayings like, ‘once a cheater always a cheater’ or ‘how you get ‘em is how you lose ‘em’.
We’re dying to hear which one of us you agree with ;). And in a future part two of this episode, we’ll share our cheating stories as well as *yours* - so if you have a juicy one, DM me and you might hear it on the show…anonymously, of course, because snitches get stitches.

Question for you:
How do you react when you hear your significant other is going to a strip club? Is it harmless fun or something more? Do you feel you have a full understanding of what goes on at a strip club? Or even what the rules are if they choose to pay for a private room? Where do you draw the line?
It’s a debate that has been happening for years and yet, we as the females of the world seem to be more divided on this topic than ever…
I tell Catherine about the medium from hell, and we get deeeeeep into the scandal that has taken over all Bravo fans’ brains for the past two weeks…SCANDOVAL…
And as a wise woman once said, ‘YOU KNOW THAT IT’S OUR TIME, THESE ARE THE BEST DAYS OF OUR LIVES….’
