  • Strength training, diet and the importance of eating enough

Strength training, diet and the importance of eating enough when you want to lose weight - with Health Advisor Amanda Claesen.

*Episode is in Danish. Many of us have been brought up with the belief that hard cardio and a low calorie diet is the way forward if we want to lose weight or get in better shape. However, this can often have the exact opposite effect and in the long term, destroy an otherwise normal combustion. Likewise, it can feel counter intuitive for many to have to gain muscle mass if you want to lose weight, even though it is a far more sustainable and effective way to the body you want.

In this episode, we have a visit from Health Advisor at One Thirty Labs, Amanda Claesen. Amanda is a clinical dietitian and is studying for a Masters in Human Nutrition.

Amanda shares her own personal journey with overtraining, calorie counting and the transformation she herself has gone through to a healthy and strong body. She also shares a number of exciting insights about creatine and the importance of this dietary supplement.

  • Everyday Longevity with Rasmus Houlind

Episode is in Danish. There's a lot of buzz around longevity at the moment, and much like biohacking, it can easily be taken to the extreme or at least perceived as such. However, Longevity doesn't have to be extreme or involve consuming 70 supplements a day. To a large extent, it's about embracing fundamental routines and habits in our everyday lives.

Rasmus Houlind is a marketing evangelist and a partner at the marketing automation software company, Agillic. He is also an angel investor and, most importantly in this context, a longevity enthusiast. His passion for longevity has led to several investments in the field, including his role as an investor in One Thirty Labs.

In this episode, Rasmus shares his personal longevity journey, how he transformed his lifestyle, and cultivated healthier habits in his daily life, all while managing work, family, friends, and travels—much like most of us do.

I believe many of us grapple with similar challenges, which is why I hope Rasmus' story can serve as an inspiration to you. If you're curious to learn more, Rasmus has recently launched a longevity group on Facebook, where you can explore his approach to longevity and connect with others who share the same interest.

  • Understanding hormonal changes, peri-menopause and menopause with Dr. Louise Pil

*Episode is in Danish. In this episode, our Doctor Louise Pil explains the hormonal changes that happen in our body through different phases in our lives - especially with a focus on peri-menopause and menopause - and how imbalances in our body or stress, inflammation etc. will further enhance the symptoms of these changes and how we feel.

Easing through menopause starts years before, and lasts long after.

As she simply puts it - easing through any hormonal changes or phases in life is all about your general health and well-being.

A healthy body will normally be much less impacted by the symptoms we can experience through for example menopause. Symptoms in general are a way for our body to let us know something is wrong. And we should listen when our body speaks. In all phases of life.

Louise also shares several concrete ways you can naturally help your body and mind ease through these phases in life. And the best thing - these hacks will also optimise your overall health and help prevent sickness long term. So no matter what age you are, or what phase you are going through, this episode is relevant for any woman who wants to optimise their general health and well-being.

Louise is also part of our menopause / hormonal programs starting soon, so check out these programs if you are curious to know more:

Our Menopause program is starting on September 20th, read more about it via our Instagram @onethirtylabs link in bio!
