Today on It Sure is a Beautiful Day, Catt is in conversation with the Director of the Equal Pay Today Campaign, Shannon Williams,  who is schooling us on why the gender wage gap exists, what we can do to shrink it, and how best to get involved in the effort to make a difference for yourself and all your female friends and loved ones.

 

What is the best way to negotiate? Why is transparency on behalf of our employers so vitally important? Why does the wage gap specifically hinder women of color?  Where do men fit into the conversation? How does our country’s minimum wage compound the problem?
