In fact, the majority of FinTech companies are run by white men, because—let’s face it—that’s who gets VC funding.Despite the fact that Black women are starting new businesses at a rate faster than anyone else, when it comes to venture capital, Black women still get less than 1% of funding. Enter Tanya Van Court. The former Nickelodeon executive is a founder who’s tipping these stats in the right direction. To date, she's raised over $2M in funding for her kid-friendly money app Goalsetter.
