If you find it hard to meditate, or make time for it, then you're going to ABSOLUTELY love this chat today.
Today I am joined by Michael Amster, a physician and faculty member at the Touro School of Medicine. He has twenty years of experience as a pain management specialist, been a student of meditation for over thirty years and is a certified yoga teacher. Today we dive into a recent discovery, something that is going to change the way you look at mindfulness for 2023 and beyond. Michael is going to explain the power of the A.W.E method including the science that backs it up, the three levels of consciousness, and how to achieve powerful results for both our physical and mental health in under 1 minute a day.
A.W.E's initiation
At the height of the pandemic, two trial groups embarked on a study through UC Berkeley to test a new method for “micro-dosing mindfulness.” One group was comprised of frontline healthcare workers; the other consisted of patients at a local medical center, as well as any of their friends and family who wished to participate. Almost immediately, both groups reported significant improvement in symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain—results that bore out over the course of the study and beyond. Jake Eagle, LPC and Michael Amster, MD, knew that they were on to something.

Today's episode:
You are going to be so surprised how many things you do out of habit EVERY day that make you less productive. I know because I do them too! BUT as we know, awareness is key and I never leave you hanging with just the items, but also tips on how to actually stop doing them and change your day to day behaviour to get the most out of your work & time. I would highly recommend selecting one habit at a time to work on, before adopting them all at once. Bear this in mind as you listen in - maybe rank them from most important to least important and work backwards so (a) you actually stick to the changes and (b) you don't get overwhelmed doing so.

Today's episode:
“If you quit on the process, you are quitting on the result” ... “Never Give Up” ... “Only Quitters Quit”.... There are so many sayings with the same basic idea, that quitting is a bad thing. This idea is instilled in us from the youngest age and even as we grow up, considered common place. To me however, winners do not quit or give up because the task is difficult or because they’re lazy, they quit because they are mature enough or self aware enough to acknowledge that something is no longer worth their time or energy.
So today I'm going to reframe quitting to "letting go" and offer you some perspective shifts so you can finally let go of whatever is no longer serving you, that maybe you've been clinging on to out of fear of judgement.

Have you ever gotten into work early and felt like you got way more done in that hour than a regular hour? Or maybe you find the tasks you hate most seem to take the longest? Whether you're already nodding your head or find you're yo-yoing in performance, you've chosen the right episode to tune into!
Today I share one of my favourite interviews, a replay with guest Tony Wilson who is an expert in human performance and works with people to create the right environment for them to thrive and maintain high performance whilst avoiding BURNOUT. We chat about how we can get clear on and respect our balance, debunk some misnomers about productivity, tips on how to make the most of your weekend/spare time and all things performance.
You can expect to wrap your head around how to actually define your balance, a winning mindset, getting in the zone and how to maintain it and why motivation may (or may not) be a whole lot of BS.

Today's episode:
Soooo many of you have popped into my DMs being like 'hey, we always hear you and the guests mention TYPE A personality, what's that all about'? I figured an episode dedicated to explaining this + the other 4 types (B, C, D & X) would be extremely useful. Knowing what type you are is important for increased self awareness plus once you wrap your head around the types, it really increases your interpersonal skills because you can understand others better too!
