In Episode 14 of The Hormone Mastery Method we are joined by Katie King from The Balanced Nutritionist. Katie has a Advanced Diploma in Nutritional Medicine and is a ultra runner, who combined her career and passion by assisting a group of 25 runners across Australia and NZ in the lead up to February's Tarawera ultra.
This group quickly evolved into a self-directed study, with 2 elites athletes joining Katie's team, which became known as the Tarawera JERF study.
Today on the reel we learn more about this study and share the successes of the athletes who took a real food and unconventional sports nutrition approach.

In Episode 13 of The Hormone Mastery Method we are joined by Damon Gameau, producer and actor of That Sugar Film.
That Sugar Film is a unique experiment to document the effects of a high sugar diet on a healthy body, where over 60 days Damon consumes the Australian average of 40 teaspoons of sugar per day, eating only foods that are commonly perceived as 'healthy'.
The results are proof of the message we have been delivering for years – sugar is the problem and packaged food products as a rule, are not healthy.
Let's find out more about That Sugar Film and why this project is already taking Australia by storm, even though cinemas tours have only just commenced.

In Episode 12 of The Hormone Mastery Method we have the next installment of The Real Food Athlete for you, introducing you to Ross Kinsella from Melbourne, Australia.
Ross is an APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist and endurance athlete, running a tidy 2.43 at Melbourne Marathon in October last year. Ross has recently stepped up to ultra running, recently competing in the Two Bays 56km before commencing training for North Face 100 later this year.
Ross has been a client of mine since early 2013, where we overhauled his day-to-day nutrition and turned him in to a fat burning machine. There have been some bumps in the round, which we will share will you today and certainly some big lessons for all of us balancing endurance training and racing with full time work, running your own business and the additional commitments of family and every day life.
As always, we hope you enjoy the show.

Nat is making waves in the world of women's health and today we discuss all things hormones, fertility and health. I specifically invited Nat on the show as I wrote an article recently on the Oral Contraceptive Pill, OCP, which created quite the storm (to say the least) and identified to me how far we still have to go in educating women and helping them make an informed choice. This episode is a must for everyone – men, you need to know this too, so press play and tune in to the reel now.
