Joey Guarascio is Florida Atlantic University’s head strength and conditioning coach. He came to FAU from Colorado State where he was the Ram’s head strength and condition coach where he was elevated to that position after just one of year of being an associate coach. His resume also includes helping Ole Miss as an assistant S&C overseeing pro day and NFL Combine prep. He was the director of S&C at Northwestern State where he oversaw all 17 varsity sports. He was an intern at FAU and worked for Tommy Moffitt at LSU. Coach Guarascio earned an exercise science degree from Sioux Falls, a masters degree in human performance with an emphasis in sports management from Northwestern State. He has multiple certifications. CSCCA, SCCC, NSCA, CSCS, RPR level 1, USAW level1, NASM CES, Precision Nutrition level 1. On top of all of this he has a way of breaking a complicated science down to digestible pieces. He resonates on with the player and Administrators alike. Listening to his passion and desire to create elite athletes is infectious. Coach Guarascio renews a passion for mentoring athletes in the listeners. It’s easy to see why he is rising to one of the premiere strength and conditioning coaches in the country.

Tyler Bise is a graduate of Adrian High School in Missouri. He is the schools only two time state champion wrestler. After graduating he attended Truman State University in Kirksville where he also wrestled. Once graduated he returned to the area he grew up and became the head coach of the Butler Bears Wrestling Program. He brings a passion and energy to the coaching corner and it shines through in his wrestlers. While putting together many good teams he took a step back to become an assistant for the 2022-23 season. Coach Long and Coach Bise along with a great staff finished the year taking 6 wrestlers to the Missouri State Class 1 Tournament returning 5 medalist. 2-5th place finishes, 1-4th, 1-3rd place and Butlers only two time State Champion. Tyler who has a career outside teaching has found a way to promote the sport and fuel a passion to coach and give back to the sport.

Robert “Blast Off” Esmie is one of the worlds fastest humans. Robert was the first leg of the Canadian 4x100 relay team to win gold in Atlanta in 1996. They are also the owners of two world titles,  Gothenburg in 1995 and Athens in 1997. As a solo act he won the bronze at the indoor world games running the 60m in Barcelona in 1995. Robert is a member of Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame. In retirement Robert created his own sprint based program Air Blast Off and co created Critiq a resource to pair aspiring creators with top mentors in their professions.

Dr Michael Hartle Chiro Power. 
Dr. Hartle is a board certified clinical nutritionist, certified chiropractic sports physician , ART provider, certified strength and conditioning specialist,  He  is a certified Strongfirst instructor, he worked closely with Pavel Tsatsouline to develop a Strongfirst barbell certification. As if those accomplishments weren’t enough he is pursuing his doctorate in exercise science. It’s easy to cover a lot of ground with Michael because he has proficient knowledge in so many areas. Along with his classroom work he has built a tremendous amount of practical experience. A flourishing practice that has become a one stop shop for his clients, he was also a nationally ranked power lifter in the USAPL with a 705 squat, 535 bench press, 635 deadlift, with an 1840 total. He didn’t stop there at 38 he moved into semi professional football. The conversation was amazing. Understanding training and recovery makes him an intriguing guest that was a lot of fun to have on the show

Dakota is from Adrian she is an Elite level Gymnast

Who has competed level 10 at Missouri Elite

Gymnastics since 2019. She qualified for the 2022

Development program Nationals with a top 20 finish. She has won a Missouri state championship in the vault and Beam. Her career highs are 9.65

Vault, 9.5 Bars, 9.35 beam and floor with a 37.225 all around. She is committed to Arkansas to continue her career. She comes in the podcast to talk about her career, scoring and the recruiting process. She discusses being in season and the time constraints it takes. Her hard work has definitely paid off and she discusses how the University of Arkansas is a great fit. Dakota loves gymnastics and has been helping and mentoring younger gymnasts. To be a SEC gymnast is quite an accomplishment.

Conner Young comes on the podcast to discuss powerlifting. Conner is a hybrid barbell athlete. He is a nationally qualified bodybuilder and a USPA junior national record holder in the bench press. He was the 2019 USPA Junior National Champion. He took second in the same event in the open division. His numbers are incredible with a 749.5 squat, 512.5 bench press and 705.4 deadlift amassing a 1929 total. He is the longest running ambassador for Animal supplements and has a huge Instagram following. In the episode he talks about working with Justin Harris on nutrition, he breaks down the squat and bench press, and explains how accessory work is what keeps the numbers high. Coach Tony Holler turned the “old style” of coaching on its head. He realized kids hated track. What had to change to make kids where they not only enjoyed track but, it was the best part of their day.  Coach Holler has worked extremely hard to get his ideas out there in a way that can help athletes and coaches work together to get performance based results in every sport. It was a great conversation about stripping the fluff out of practice and getting to the aspects that make kids better athletes. Tired is the enemy and top performance is the goal. Compete and track progress to allow growth but, leave at the end with gas in their tank. A remarkable Coach to say the least. Tony covers a lot of ground in the interview and answers every question completely with honest answers that he is passionate about. If we could all take away a little something from him the world of athletics and life, the world will be a better place.
