Ca: Marta i Jordi van sortir a passejar per la Rambla, una avinguda plena de vida i sorpreses.
En: Marta and Jordi went for a walk along the Rambla, an avenue full of life and surprises.

Ca: Marta volia practicar el català, així que li va demanar al seu amic Jordi que li demanés una taula per a dos en un restaurant proper en català.
En: Marta wanted to practice her Catalan, so she asked her friend Jordi to book her a table for two at a nearby Catalan restaurant.

Ca: Jordi va intentar recordar les seves classes de català i va dir: "Hola, em puc seure aquí per dues persones, si us plau?
En: Jordi tried to remember his Catalan lessons and said: "Hello, can I sit here for two people, please?"

Ca: " El cambrer va entendre la petició de Jordi i els va portar cap a una taula al pati.
En: The waiter understood Jordi's request and led them to a table in the patio.

Ca: Jordi va mirar la carta i va triar una taula de tapes per als dos.
En: Jordi looked at the menu and chose a tapas table for the two of them.

Ca: Marta estava emocionada per provar diferents plats catalans, però quan el cambrer va portar el menjar, es va adonar que havia entès mal la petició de Jordi.
En: Marta was excited to try different Catalan dishes, but when the waiter brought the food, she realized that she had misunderstood Jordi's request.

Ca: En comptes de les tapes que havien demanat, tenien davant d'ells un plat de cargols que ni Marta ni Jordi havien tastat mai abans.
En: Instead of the tapas they had ordered, they had in front of them a plate of snails that neither Marta nor Jordi had ever tasted before.

Ca: "Ei, Jordi, això no són les tapes que havíem demanat!
En: "Hey, Jordi, these aren't the tapas we ordered!"

Ca: " va cridar Marta, però abans que pogués dir més res, Jordi va agafar un cargol i se'l va posar a la boca.
En: Marta shouted, but before she could say anything else, Jordi took a screw and put it in his mouth.

Ca: "Oh, això és deliciós!
En: "Oh, that's delicious!"

Ca: " va dir Jordi, mentre que Marta encarava la boca amb sorpresa.
En: said Jordi, while Marta looked at her mouth in surprise.

Ca: Va agafar un cargol ella també i el va menjar.
En: She took a snail too and ate it.

Ca: Era estrany, però tenia bon gust.
En: It was weird, but it tasted good.

Ca: A mesura que menjaven, Jordi va intentar recordar la paraula correcta per a tapes en català, però no ho va poder fer.
En: As they ate, Jordi tried to remember the correct word for tapas in Catalan, but he couldn't.

Ca: Van decidir que haurien de practicar més català junts.
En: They decided that they should practice more Catalan together.

Ca: Al final de la seva aventura gastronòmica, Marta i Jordi es van riure de la situació i van gaudir de tot el que havien après sobre els cargols i la cultura catalana en general.
En: At the end of their gastronomic adventure, Marta and Jordi laughed about the situation and enjoyed everything they had learned about snails and Catalan culture in general.

Ca: Van acabar la seva nit amb un sol flower, i van prometre que la propera vegada que es trobessin en un restaurant de la Rambla, demanarien les tapes correctes - en català, per descomptat.
