En: In the heart of Munich lies the Viktualienmarkt.
De: Es ist ein sonniger Morgen, und die Markthändler rufen laut ihre Waren aus.
En: It is a sunny morning, and the market traders loudly announce their goods.
De: Hier beginnt das Abenteuer von Hans und Greta.
En: Here begins the adventure of Hans and Greta.
De: Hans, ein junger Mann mit braunem Haar, und Greta, eine fröhliche junge Frau mit blonden Zöpfen, lieben diesen Markt.
En: Hans, a young man with brown hair, and Greta, a cheerful young woman with blonde braids, love this market.
De: Heute haben sie genug Geld gespart, um etwas Besonders zu kaufen.
En: Today, they have saved enough money to buy something special.
De: Hans sagt: "Greta, ich möchte frisches Obst."
En: Hans says, "Greta, I want fresh fruit."
De: Greta lächelt und antwortet: "Und ich möchte Blumen kaufen."
En: Greta smiles and replies, "And I want to buy flowers."

De: "Die nehmen wir," sagt er und kauft zwei Körbe.
En: "We'll take them," he says, buying two baskets.
De: Nun gehen sie zum Blumenstand.
En: Now they go to the flower stand.
De: Es duftet herrlich nach Rosen und Lilien.
En: It smells wonderfully of roses and lilies.
De: "Welche Blumen gefallen dir, Greta?"
En: "Which flowers do you like, Greta?"
De: fragt Hans.
En: asks Hans.
De: Greta sieht sich um.
En: Greta looks around.
De: "Die roten Rosen sind schön," antwortet sie.
En: "The red roses are beautiful," she replies.
De: Hans kauft einen Strauß Rosen und gibt ihn Greta.
En: Hans buys a bouquet of roses and gives them to Greta.

En: She smiles gratefully.
