Story Transcript:

Hu: Kampós kezdés: Budapest közepén, az Oktogonnál található egy kis, kék színű ételstand.
En: Hooky start: In the middle of Budapest, at Oktogon, there is a small, blue food stand.

Hu: István és Éva itt állnak a sorban, a gyomruk korgásától vezérelve.
En: István and Éva are standing in line here, guided by the rumbling of their stomachs.

Hu: István és Éva a menüt nézegetik, majd rápillantanak a köztudottan nehéz magyar szóval ellátott melegszendvicsre.
En: István and Éva look at the menu, then glance at the hot sandwich with the notoriously difficult Hungarian word.

Hu: Idegesen koccintanak össze, abban reménykedve, hogy meg tudják ejteni a szót helyesen.
En: They nervously toast each other, hoping to get the word right.

Hu: Az ételstand eladója mosolyogva közeledik hozzájuk.
En: The vendor of the food stall approaches them with a smile.

Hu: "Mit kérnek?
En: "What do they want?"

Hu: " - kérdezi.
En: - he asks.

Hu: István és Éva elkezdik magyarázni, hogy szeretnének két melegszendvicset, de a nehezen kiejthető szóhoz valahogy nem találják a megfelelő hangokat.
En: István and Éva begin to explain that they want two hot sandwiches, but somehow they can't find the right words for the hard-to-pronounce word.

Hu: Próbálkoznak, hebegnek-habognak, mintha rejtélyes nyelvről beszélnének.
En: They try, stammer and stammer, as if they were speaking a mysterious language.

Hu: István és Éva lelkesen fizetnek, majd kapják a meleg, ízletes szendvicseiket.
En: István and Éva pay enthusiastically and then receive their hot, tasty sandwiches.

Hu: Amint egy asztalhoz ülnek, István és Éva rájönnek, hogy a vicces és félreértéseken keresztül ismerkedtek meg jobban egymással.
En: As soon as they sit at a table, István and Éva realize that they got to know each other better through funny and misunderstandings.
