Ca: La tardor havia pintat els arbres del jardí d'en Jordi amb colors daurats i vermells.
En: Autumn had painted the trees in Jordi's garden with golden and red hues.

Ca: La Diada Nacional de Catalunya s’acostava, i com cada any, la família s’unia per la gran competició de paella.
En: The National Day of Catalonia was approaching, and as every year, the family gathered for the big paella competition.

Ca: La casa d’en Jordi estava plena de rialles i converses.
En: Jordi's house was full of laughter and conversation.

Ca: Les taules llargues estaven decorades amb les banderes de Catalunya i tothom estava emocionat pel concurs.
En: The long tables were decorated with Catalan flags, and everyone was excited about the contest.

Ca: Montserrat, amb un davantal impecable, es preparava per vèncer.
En: Montserrat, with a spotless apron, was preparing to win.

Ca: La seva determinació era visible perquè volia demostrar que ella era la millor cuinera de la família.
En: Her determination was evident because she wanted to prove she was the best cook in the family.

Ca: El silenci va seguir al primer mos, i de sobte, un esclat de rialles va omplir l’aire.
En: Silence followed the first bite, and suddenly, an outburst of laughter filled the air.

Ca: "Montserrat, la paella més dolça que hem tastat mai!
En: "Montserrat, the sweetest paella we’ve ever tasted!"

Ca: " va dir el cosí amb una rialla contagiant tothom.
En: said a cousin, his laughter spreading to everyone.

Ca: Montserrat, primer sorpresa, va començar a riure amb els altres.
En: Montserrat, initially surprised, began to laugh along with the others.

Ca: Era el moment de triar: amagar l'error o unir-se al riure.
En: It was time to choose: hide the mistake or join the laughter.

Ca: Va pensar-ho uns segons, i va decidir.
