Story Transcript:

Ja: 春の午後、陽の光が優しく森を照らしていた。
En: One spring afternoon, the sunlight gently illuminated the forest.

Ja: ハルトとサクラは、ハイキングに出かけた。
En: Haruto and Sakura set out on a hike.

Ja: 二人は森の奥に足を踏み入れ、桜の花びらが絨毯のように広がる小道を歩いていた。
En: They ventured deep into the forest, walking along a path where cherry blossom petals spread out like a carpet.

Ja: 「桜の写真を撮りたいな。夕日が桜に映えるの、きっとすごくきれいだよね。」とサクラはカメラを持ち、目を輝かせて言った。
En: "I want to take pictures of the cherry blossoms. I'm sure they’ll look amazing in the sunset," Sakura said, holding her camera with eyes sparkling.

Ja: すると、古びた神社が姿を現した。
En: Then, an old shrine came into view.

Ja: 「こんなところに神社があるなんて……」とサクラは驚いてつぶやいた。

Ja: 「これは何だろう？」とハルトは目を輝かせ、神社の隅にある謎めいた遺物に目を留めた。
En: "What is this?" Haruto asked, eyes shining as he focused on a mysterious relic in a corner of the shrine.

Ja: 古代文明を暗示するような模様が刻まれていた。
En: It was engraved with patterns that suggested an ancient civilization.

Ja: 「これは調べる価値がある。古代の儀式について何か知れるかもしれない。」
En: "This is worth investigating. We might learn something about ancient rituals."

Ja: サクラは少し不安そうだった。
En: Sakura looked a little anxious.

Ja: 「でも、もうすぐ日が暮れるよ。桜の写真もまだ撮れてないし、森の中で暗くなるのは怖いな。」
En: "But it’s almost dark. I still haven’t taken any photos of the cherry blossoms, and it’s scary when it gets dark in the forest."

Ja: 「わかってる。でもこれは一生に一度あるかどうかの機会だよ。」ハルトは説得しようとした。
En: "I understand, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," Haruto tried to persuade her.

Ja: そんな時、ふと森の音が消えた。
En: Just then, the sounds of the forest suddenly ceased.

Ja: 二人は息を呑んで周囲を見渡す。
En: They both held their breath and looked around.

Ja: 沈黙の中、ハルトは遺物の模様を読み解いた。
En: In the silence, Haruto deciphered the patterns on the relic.

Ja: 「ここは古代の儀式の場所だったんだ。」
En: "This place was for ancient rituals."

Ja: 沈黙が重く心に響く。
En: The silence pressed heavily on their hearts.

Ja: サクラは深く息をついて、決意を固めた。
En: Sakura took a deep breath and made up her mind.

Ja: 「じゃあ、私たちも融通し合わないとね。あなたがしばらく調べて、その後一緒に桜の写真を撮ろう。」
En: "Then, we should compromise. You study it for a while, and then let’s take the photos together."
