Ko: 아침 햇살은 차가운 북극의 설원 위에 환하게 내리쬐었습니다.
En: The morning sunlight shone brightly over the cold Arctic snowfields.

Ko: 하얀 눈이 빛을 반사해 눈까지 부시게 했죠.
En: The white snow reflected the light, dazzling the eyes.

Ko: 진우, 수진, 그리고 민서는 세 사람의 코트와 털모자로 무장하고 모였습니다.
En: Jinwoo, Sujin, and Minseo gathered, armed with their coats and furry hats.

Ko: 그들 앞에는 여러 기기가 있는 연구 쏘기 기지였어요.
En: In front of them was a research base with various equipment.

Ko: 오늘 하루는 과학적 발견을 위해 준비된 날입니다.
En: Today was a day prepared for scientific discovery.

Ko: 진우는 환경 문제에 관심이 많습니다.
En: Jinwoo is very interested in environmental issues.

Ko: 그는 지구 온난화와 관련된 데이터를 모으고 싶습니다.
En: He wants to collect data related to global warming.

Ko: "이 기회 놓치면 안 돼," 진우는 속으로 다짐했어요.
En: "We can't miss this opportunity," he resolved to himself.

Ko: "와, 여기 정말 추워," 수진이 웃으며 말했어요.
En: "Wow, it's really cold here," Sujin said with a laugh.

Ko: "맞아, 하지만 우리 잘 해낼 수 있어!" 진우는 대답했습니다.
En: "Yeah, but we can do this!" Jinwoo replied.

Ko: 옆에서 민서는 다소 날카로운 눈빛을 보내며 말했어요.
En: Next to him, Minseo gave a somewhat sharp look and said, "You're too optimistic.

Ko: "너무 낙관적이야. 이번 기회 놓치면 끝장이야."
En: If we miss this opportunity, it's over."

Ko: 그리고 드디어 그들은 외부에 첫 발을 내디뎠습니다.
En: And finally, they stepped outside.

Ko: 공기는 맑고 아주 차가웠어요.
En: The air was clear and very cold.

Ko: 그들은 연구를 시작했어요.
En: They started their research.

Ko: 진우는 데이터 센서를 설치하기 시작했고, 수진은 진우를 도왔어요.
En: Jinwoo began setting up data sensors, and Sujin helped him.

Ko: 그러나 민서는 더 효율적인 방법이 있다고 주장했습니다.
En: However, Minseo claimed there was a more efficient way.

Ko: "이렇게 하면 시간이 너무 오래 걸려," 민서는 주장했습니다.
En: "If we do it this way, it'll take too long," Minseo argued.

Ko: "이 방법은 실패할 거야."
En: "This method will fail."

Ko: 진우는 잠시 멈추고 생각했습니다.
En: Jinwoo paused to think.

Ko: 그때 날씨가 갑자기 변하기 시작했습니다.
En: Then the weather started to change suddenly.

Ko: 멀리서 강한 바람 소리가 들릴 때 진우는 집단의 안전을 우선해야 한다고 느꼈습니다.
En: When the sound of strong winds was heard from afar, Jinwoo felt the need to prioritize the group's safety.

Ko: "모두 그만! 기지로 돌아가자!" 진우는 큰 목소리로 말했습니다.
En: "Stop everything! Let's go back to the base!" Jinwoo said loudly.

Ko: 민서는 불만족했지만, 수진은 진우의 판단을 믿기로 했습니다.
En: Minseo was dissatisfied, but Sujin decided to trust Jinwoo's judgment.

Ko: 그들은 급히 기지로 돌아갔습니다.
En: They quickly returned to the base.

En: The wind blew fiercely, and a snowstorm was raging.

En: The research was halted, but the three safely returned to the base.

En: "We were about to embark on a reckless challenge, but safety comes first."

Ko: 민서도 조용히 고개를 끄덕였습니다.
En: Minseo quietly nodded in agreement.

Ko: 진우는 아쉬웠지만 동시에 후회하지 않았습니다.
En: Jinwoo felt a little disappointed, but he did not regret his decision.
