Ca: Plaça del Sol estava plena de gent, tot i el fred intens de l'hivern.
En: Plaça del Sol was full of people, despite the intense winter cold.

Ca: La ciutat de Barcelona brillava amb llums de colors, preparant-se per rebre l'Any Nou.
En: The city of Barcelona shone with colorful lights, preparing to welcome the New Year.

Ca: No obstant això, a uns quants carrers de distància, l'ambient era diferent.
En: However, just a few streets away, the atmosphere was different.

Ca: A dins del seu petit apartament, Jordi estava assegut al sofà, embolicat amb una manta i mocadors al seu voltant.

Ca: "No vull que us perdeu el millor de la festa per culpa meva," va respondre Jordi, amb un somriure apagat.
En: "I don't want you all to miss the best part of the party because of me," Jordi responded, with a faint smile.

Ca: "Vés, passa-t'ho bé.
En: "Go, have a good time."

Ca: "Però Núria no estava disposada a deixar-lo sol.
En: But Núria was not willing to leave him alone.

Ca: Va tenir una idea.
En: She had an idea.

Ca: Si Jordi no podia anar a la festa, la festa vindria a Jordi.
En: If Jordi couldn't go to the party, the party would come to Jordi.

Ca: Amb decisió, va sortir a comprar decoracions, menjar, i va avisar els amics comuns del seu pla.
En: With determination, she went out to buy decorations, food, and informed their mutual friends of her plan.

Ca: A mesura que el dia avançava cap al vespre, l'apartament de Jordi es transformava.
En: As the day moved towards the evening, Jordi's apartment was transformed.

Ca: Les parets estaven cobertes amb llums de corda brillants, i una taula al centre estava plena de begudes i delícies típiques com turrons i cava.
En: The walls were covered with bright string lights, and a table in the center was filled with drinks and typical treats like turrons and cava.

Ca: Els amics van començar a arribar, cadascú portant una mica d'alegria.

Ca: Quan Núria va obrir la porta del menjador, Jordi va quedar sorprès.
