Pl: Zima mocno trzymała miasto w swoim lodowym uścisku.
En: Winter held the city tightly in its icy grip.

Pl: Śnieg pokrywał wszystko dookoła, a wiatr wył przez zniszczone ulice.
En: Snow covered everything around, and the wind howled through the ruined streets.

Pl: Ania stała przed drewnianą chatą, spoglądając na Krzysztofa.

Pl: Leżał na starym materacu w rogu pokoju, słaby i blady.
