Ca: Des de fora, el petit cafè del Barri Gòtic de Barcelona semblava bullir de vida.
En: From the outside, the small café in the Barri Gòtic of Barcelona seemed to be buzzing with life.

Ca: La llum del matí de primavera s'escolava per les finestres antigues, banyant el lloc amb una resplendor càlida.
En: The morning spring light filtered through the old windows, bathing the place with a warm glow.

Ca: El cafè estava ple de veïns que xerraven animadament, mentre l'aroma del cafè recentment fet omplia l'aire.
En: The café was full of neighbors chatting animatedly, while the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air.

Ca: En una taula del racó, Oriol i Clàudia estaven asseguts, rient sobre un record compartit.
En: At a corner table, Oriol and Clàudia were sitting, laughing over a shared memory.

Ca: "L'any passat va ser un desastre total," va riure Clàudia, mostrant un somriure juganer.
En: "Last year was a total disaster," laughed Clàudia, showing a playful smile.

Ca: Oriol es va gratar el cap, una mica avergonyit.

Ca: "Ho sé, Clàudia, ho sé. Pots creure que vaig pensar que aquell coixí de qui-xic saltabusques seria una bona broma?"
En: "I know, Clàudia, I know. Can you believe I thought that whoopee cushion stunt would be a good joke?"

Ca: "Qui-xic, dius?" va preguntar Clàudia, encara amb una guspira de diversió als ulls.
En: "Whoopee cushion, you say?" asked Clàudia, still with a spark of amusement in her eyes.

Ca: "Era tan... espectacularment dolent!"
En: "It was so... spectacularly bad!"

Ca: Oriol va assentir, amb un somriure d'empat.
En: Oriol nodded, with a smile of empathy.

Ca: "Res va anar com esperava. Però aquest any, vull fer una broma perfecta. Una que faci riure sense causar el caos."
En: "Nothing went as I expected. But this year, I want to pull off the perfect joke. One that makes people laugh without causing chaos."

Ca: Clàudia va creuar els braços, reflexionant.
En: Clàudia crossed her arms, reflecting.

Ca: "D'acord, però ha de ser una cosa senzilla. Res de grans escenificacions ni efectes desastrosos."
En: "Alright, but it has to be something simple. No grand stage setups or disastrous effects."

Ca: Oriol va agafar una culleradeta de sucre i la va posar a la seva tassa de cafè, pensatiu.
En: Oriol took a teaspoon of sugar and added it to his cup of coffee, thoughtful.

Ca: "Tens raó. Potser una broma amb els nostres amics d'aquest cafè. Quelcom simpàtic."
En: "You're right. Maybe a joke with our friends at this café. Something light-hearted."

Ca: "Hmm," va murmurar Clàudia, pensant.
En: "Hmm," murmured Clàudia, thinking.

Ca: "Què et sembla si canviem els noms de les tasses de cafè?"
En: "How about we switch the names on the coffee cups?"

Ca: Oriol va aixecar les celles, intrigat.
En: Oriol raised his eyebrows, intrigued.

Ca: "Com fer-ho de manera que sigui divertit?"
En: "How do we do that in a funny way?"

Ca: "Doncs, quan algú demani un espresso, li portem un cafè amb llet i viceversa.
En: "Well, when someone orders an espresso, we bring them a café con leche and vice versa.

Ca: Però cal fer-ho només amb la gent amb qui tenim confiança, que puguin apreciar la broma."
En: But we should only do it with people we know well, who can appreciate the joke."

Ca: Els dos es van mirar, i un somriure va aparèixer als seus rostres.
En: The two looked at each other, and a smile appeared on their faces.

Ca: "És subtil, però efectiu," va dir Oriol amb satisfacció.
En: "It's subtle, but effective," said Oriol with satisfaction.

Ca: Quan el dia de les bromes va arribar, Oriol i Clàudia van executar el seu pla amb cura.
En: When April Fools' Day arrived, Oriol and Clàudia executed their plan with care.

Ca: Els cambrers, divertits, també hi van participar.
En: The waiters, amused, joined in.

Ca: Els clients habituals van rebre canvis de comanda inesperats, però, en veure les rialles contagioses dels seus amics, es van unir a la diversió.
