En: The trees in the Puszcza Białowieska were covered with a thick layer of snow.

Pl: Zima przemieniła las w ciche, magiczne miejsce.
En: Winter had transformed the forest into a quiet, magical place.

Pl: Marek, znużony badacz archeologii, wypatrywał wśród białych zasłon drzew.
En: Marek, a weary archaeology researcher, was looking out among the white veils of trees.

Pl: Obok niego stały Ania i Zofia, przyjaciółki i towarzyszki tej niezwykłej wyprawy.
En: Beside him stood Ania and Zofia, friends and companions on this extraordinary expedition.
