Ca: A La Rambla, el fred de l'hivern no aturava la gent que passejava entre les llums de festa del Dia de la Constitució.
En: On La Rambla, the winter cold did not stop people strolling among the festive lights of Constitution Day.

Ca: Els carrers estaven plens de turistes i artistes de carrer.
En: The streets were full of tourists and street performers.

Ca: L'Oriol, amb la seva energia inacabable, esperava amb nervis en un racó.
En: L'Oriol, with his boundless energy, waited nervously in a corner.

Ca: Tenia un gran pla.
En: He had a big plan.

Ca: Un pla per confessar el que sentia per la Gemma, la florista del barri.
En: A plan to confess what he felt for Gemma, the neighborhood florist.

Ca: L'Oriol mirava al seu voltant.
En: L'Oriol looked around.

Ca: Els artistes es movien amb il·lusió, pintant somriures als rostres dels qui passaven.

En: As the clock approached the appointed hour, in the distance, the sound of a drum marked the marching of a troupe dragging a crowd of children dressed as shepherds and majorettes.

Ca: La desfilada del Dia de la Constitució avançava lentament.

Ca: L'Oriol estava preparat, però just quan va començar a cantar, el soroll de la desfilada va créixer, enfosquint la seva veu.
En: L'Oriol was ready, but just as he started to sing, the noise of the parade grew, drowning out his voice.

Ca: La Gemma, darrera del seu petit estand de flors, va aixecar el cap, curiosa pels sons discordants.
En: Gemma, behind her small flower stand, raised her head, curious about the discordant sounds.

Ca: Veia l'Oriol gesticular amb emoció, però les paraules es perdien en el soroll de les trompetes i tambors.

Ca: Els seus clients, divertits, li van dir que semblava que Oriol li estava dedicant un "espectacle".

Ca: En Pere, amb la seva habitual mala lletra, s'enfilà als arbres que vorejaven les voreres, clavant un cartell que deia: "Gemma, estic enamorat de tu".

Ca: Però abans que la Gemma pogués desxifrar el missatge entre el caos, una marioneta gegant de la desfilada va tapar el cartell.
En: But before Gemma could decipher the message amidst the chaos, a giant puppet from the parade obscured the sign.

Ca: Tot semblava anar de mal en pitjor.
En: Everything seemed to go from bad to worse.

Ca: Després de l'actuació frustrada, Oriol es va donar per vençut momentàniament i es va asseure a un banc.
En: After the frustrated performance, Oriol momentarily gave up and sat on a bench.

Ca: Però la Gemma, veient el seu esforç i malgrat la seva timidesa, va apropar-se amb un petit ram de muguet.
En: But Gemma, seeing his effort and despite her shyness, approached with a small bouquet of lily of the valley.

Ca: Quan es van mirar als ulls, les paraules no van caldre.
En: When they looked into each other's eyes, words were unnecessary.

Ca: "L'Oriol i la Gemma... ja era hora!" va cridar Pere, rient mentre atreia l'atenció dels espectadors.
En: "L'Oriol and Gemma... it was about time!" shouted Pere, laughing as he drew the attention of the spectators.

Ca: Finalment, l'Oriol es va aixecar, es va apropar a la Gemma i li va dir tot allò que la desfilada havia impedit expressar.
En: Finally, L'Oriol stood up, approached Gemma, and told her everything that the parade had prevented him from expressing.

Ca: Gemma li va somriure abans de besar-lo, amb el seu cor ple d'alegria i el fred de l'hivern oblidat.
En: Gemma smiled at him before kissing him, her heart full of joy and the winter cold forgotten.

Ca: En acabar el dia, amb les llums de La Rambla il·luminant el fullatge dels arbres, l'Oriol va aprendre que, de vegades, les accions més senzilles o un simple "t'estimo" valen més que els plans més sofisticats.
En: At the end of the day, with the lights of La Rambla illuminating the foliage of the trees, L'Oriol learned that sometimes the simplest actions or a mere "I love you" are worth more than the most sophisticated plans.

Ca: Des de llavors, La Rambla va ser més que un escenari per a la seva música, va ser el lloc on va trobar el seu gran amor.
En: Since then, La Rambla was more than a stage for his music; it was the place where he found his great love.
