Fr: Pierre était en vacances à Paris et il aimait bien goûter de nouvelles choses.
En: Pierre was on vacation in Paris and he liked to taste new things.

Fr: Il avait entendu que les croissants de Paris étaient les meilleurs du monde.
En: He had heard that the croissants in Paris were the best in the world.

Fr: Un jour, il se promenait dans la ville et il décida d'aller dans une boulangerie pour acheter des croissants.
En: One day, he was walking in the city and he decided to go to a bakery to buy croissants.

Fr: Cependant, il y avait un problème : Pierre ne parlait pas français.
En: However, there was a problem: Pierre did not speak French.

Fr: Il décida d'essayer de commander en anglais, mais il échoua lamentablement.
