Time for another Q&A Day with me and Evans! Listen in as we answer questions that you have sent in, and hear our favorite quotes of the moment! In today’s “questionably awesome” episode, Evans and I are talking all about resistance. We cover how to love yourself into making better decisions, how to make a decision and move on without second-guessing plus how to pause to make sure you’re in control of your emotions so you don’t act from a place of chemical reaction in your body.

Holy crap I’ve never felt closer to y’all! I love the show! Been listening for over a year and finally getting around to leaving a review. Just listened to a Questionably Awesome about leveling up where you talked about going home - specifically how you feel like you have to rush to get home and sit with family, and then they talk about their new shelf! I thought it was just me and it’s cool to hear that you all experience that. Also, why is that even a thing!? Anyway, love your podcast and random tangents. Makes me feel like I’m just listening to people I want to be friends with. Btw, can we be friends?! -Alicia

Whether you are being bullied online, whether you have a friend who is questioning who you are as you grow, or whether you are completely doubting yourself and not feeling smart enough, these are all opportunities to shine. I recently had an experience that I might share more about later. In the past, I would have gone to a very dark place and it would have taken me down for a really long time. This time I was able to bounce right back knowing that it is not our place to feel bad. We are meant to stay in joy because that's where we get outside of our heads and our small worlds. We expand, we grow and we give our talents, our efforts and our money to people. I hope today’s quickie serves as a reminder or way for you to be able to get back to the heart-centered reason of WHY you’re working on your dreams.

My favorite shit show on FIRE! The last month has felt like falling down that Alice in Wonderland hole for me. There’s a welcome change waiting for me, but the interim has been a challenge. My saving grace? Questionably Awesome. Every episode, downloaded, and playing in the background all day, every day. For real. I love the friendship between you and Evans, the laughs, perspective, and fantastically honest and hilarious one liners. One of my favorites being, “Because I’m just a shit show on fire 99% of the time.” I look forward to Wednesdays very much!

Six years ago Ashley LeMieux and her husband got a phone call asking them to become parents of a six-year-old and a four-year-old. They weren’t looking to adopt or foster at the time, but they said yes, and their life became all about their new family. During the final stages of the adoption process they experienced an unexpected contested adoption, which meant that they spent over a year and a half in court fighting to keep their family together. In the end the kids were taken from them with 12 hours notice and Ashley and her husband were not even allowed to tell the kids they weren’t coming home. Ashley says the past two years have been filled with her trying to figure out how to find a life again after it was all taken away. She felt buried by pain for so long she couldn’t work out how to move forward, but her journey through that has ignited everything she’s doing now. To begin she started a morning routine that added purpose back into her day. She wanted to write a book about her experiences and, after 30 different publishers said no, she figured out that no-one else’s opinion mattered and did it anyway. Her book, Born To Shine, shares stories, lessons, and practical tools to help women shine despite the darkness, to press forward one day at a time even when there is no end in sight, and to turn their most painful moments into their greatest teachers and signposts to true, deep, unassailable joy.

Today’s podcast is all about getting out of your own way because you have bigger fish to fry. You can’t play small anymore, you can’t live for other people and you can’t keep waiting for someone else to save you. That thing that you think just stopping you is your power. For me it was my anxiety, even though it was debilitating, and I told myself I couldn't do what I wanted because of it. Our superpower is to really share where we're at, and to share our truth and share that we're nervous and to remember that we're all in this human experience together. You can’t say the wrong thing to the right people, so get out there, find your audience, and live the life you want! I hope today’s quickie serves as a reminder or way for you to be able to get back to the heart-centered reason of WHY you’re working on your dreams.

So much fun and love and relevant! Lori ! You and Evans are so fun to listen to! It brought me right back to when you were a bride to be and Angela sprayed perfume in my eye, lol. A lot of fun and laughs .. but it’s more than that, you have such great messages and help people to feel empowered and figure out their own solutions. Loved your Moon voice and bit! You’re hilarious and so is Evans. I’ve been binge listening while working and laughing out loud. Trying to get into a great place and space for some big stuff coming up in my life, and listening to the podcast is helping me get there.
