Pl: Aleksander stał w kolejce przed budynkiem ratusza.
En: Aleksander stood in line in front of the town hall building.

Pl: Był to letni poranek, a słońce świeciło jasno na fasadę starego budynku.
En: It was a summer morning, and the sun shone brightly on the facade of the old building.

Pl: Starał się nie myśleć o upale, który zaczynał dawać się we znaki.
En: He tried not to think about the heat, which was beginning to make itself felt.

Pl: Dzień wyborczy w małym miasteczku zawsze przyciągał wielu ludzi.
En: Election day in a small town always drew many people.

Pl: W środku panował ruch, ludzie wchodzili i wychodzili z uśmiechami na twarzach.
En: Inside, there was a bustle, people were coming in and out with smiles on their faces.

Pl: Aleksander patrzył na lokalne dzieła sztuki na ścianach, próbując się uspokoić.

Pl: Aleksander uśmiechnął się, czując, że znalazł wspólniczkę w rozmowie.

En: As they neared the end of the line, Aleksander and Zuzanna were already immersed in conversation.

Pl: Wspólnie weszli do sali głosowania.
En: Together they entered the voting hall.

Pl: Po oddaniu głosu, wyszli razem, dalej żywo dyskutując.
En: After casting their votes, they left together, still vividly discussing.

Pl: — Dziękuję za rozmowę, Zuzanna — powiedział Aleksander, czując się lekko i pewnie.

En: Together they left the town hall.

Pl: Powietrze pełne było obietnic czegoś nowego.
En: The air was full of the promise of something new.

Pl: Aleksander zrozumiał wtedy, jak ważne jest, by być częścią swojej społeczności, i jak łatwo można rozpocząć coś wartościowego od jednej, prostej rozmowy.
