Uk: Одеса в зимові дні особлива.
En: Odesa in winter days is special.

Uk: Чарівне місто біля Чорного моря танцює під сніжним покривалом, а в повітрі пахне свіжісінькими млинцями.
En: The magical city by the Chorne Sea dances under a snowy blanket, and the air smells of fresh pancakes.

Uk: Масляна, свято заговень на весну, приносить шум і веселощі.
En: Maslyana, the festival anticipating spring, brings noise and merriment.

Uk: Барвисті вулички повні людей, і лунає радісний сміх.
En: The colorful streets are full of people, and joyous laughter resounds.

Uk: Оксана, молода й енергійна дівчина, вперше бере участь у Масляній в Одесі.
En: Oksana, a young and energetic girl, is participating in Maslyana in Odesa for the first time.

Uk: Вона в захваті від атмосфери свята.
En: She is thrilled by the festive atmosphere.

Uk: Поруч із нею йде Юрій, її давній друг.

Uk: Оксана веде Юрія до столу.
En: Oksana leads Yuriy to a table.

Uk: "Подивись, конкурс на поїдання млинців!
En: "Look, a pancake-eating contest!

Uk: Це саме те, що нам потрібно!
En: This is exactly what we need!"

Uk: " – її очі сповнені захоплення.
En: her eyes are full of excitement.

Uk: Спочатку Юрій вагається, але, побачивши жарти й сміх навколо, він погоджується.
En: At first, Yuriy hesitates, but seeing the jokes and laughter around, he agrees.

Uk: Сядуть за стіл і починають куштувати різноманітні млинці.
En: They sit down at the table and begin to taste various pancakes.

Uk: Раптом, серед загального гомону, Юрій і Оксана разом уплутуються у змагання їсти млинці.

Uk: Вони сміються й насолоджуються.

Uk: "У світлі палаючого вогнища, обоє стоять, осмислено дивлячись у полум'я, насолоджуючись теплом як всередині, так і зовні.
En: In the light of the blazing fire, both stand, thoughtfully looking into the flames, enjoying the warmth both inside and outside.

Uk: Юрій зрозумів, що можна цінувати минуле й при цьому жити теперішнім.
