In today's episode, Emily has a very special guest, Karla Head. Karla is a client of Emily's Evolve X mentorship program. Emily is doing a series with past clients to allow them to share their personal growth journey of evolving. Each client has a very different experience and we are so honored to be sharing some of them. Karla was ready to make some changes in her life and hit the ground running before the new year, so she signed up for the final round of Evolve X of 2021. After closing a business that wasn't working for her anymore, Karla had some things she needed to address in her life and let go of the victim mentality she was living in. Karla also talks about getting sober and how it has helped her make the most of her days and how her relationships have gotten better because of it. Other struggles she was able to address during the program was making herself a priority, trusting in herself to make decisions and getting out of the habit of people pleasing. The confidence Karla gained throughout the program is life changing for her. She was able to set boundaries, create space for herself, have hard conversations and being ok with saying no. She gives great advice to other moms and talks about getting her kids involved and shares that her marriage and relationships with her kids is the best it's ever been. Listen to hear more details about Karla's journey of evolving.

In today's episode, Emily talks about how important your environment is to evolving. Your environment includes your home, the people in your life, your work place, what you watch or listen to, anything you surround yourself with. Are any of those things holding you back from being the best version of you? How much influence do those things have on your decisions? She also talks about finding your gifts and talents and being intentional about how you bring those things out of you in order to share them with the world. You may not realize that what you're currently choosing is actually doing the opposite and is killing those gifts and talents. You may be really holding yourself back from success due to your environment being so comfortable for you. Are you scared to leave that comfort? Every day is a gift and it is up to you to live each day to the fullest and to challenge yourself to be better. If you give it you're all, you will not fail. Don't stay stuck. Don't stay predictable. Don't stay small. Choose better for yourself and go ALL IN ON YOU! Take that leap of faith and it will be what changes the trajectory of your life. Know there's more out there, it just requires you to take that step forward. Evolving isn't always pretty or easy. Sometimes you say yes to things, sometimes you say no to things. You have to be willing to struggle and get out of your comfort zone in order to reach the next best version of you. That's today's message.

In today's episode, Emily has guest Connor Trott. Connor is a new athlete for Alphalete, JYM Supplement athlete, owner of Connor Trott Fitness and Connor Trott Finance. You may also recognize him from Love Island USA where he was a contestant on. Emily and Connor just recently met when he came to visit Alphaland in Houston. They discuss how starting on your own journey to evolving may begin with helping yourself but it ends up helping others as well. The two then dive into Connor's move across the country to LA and what made him decide he needed a change of scenery. Connor says he had a longing to experience something new and a chance to figure everything out on his own. He talks about how he ended up on Love Island through his Instagram and his experience with being on the show. Both Connor and Emily have a large platform so the two discuss why it's important to stay authentic on social media and not try to be what everyone expects you to be. They talk about how having an online community is an amazing thing but prioritizing in person relationships is vital to feeling true connection in life. Listen to hear the rest of this awesome conversation between friends.

In today's Monday Message, Emily talks about breaking self sufficiency. The survival instinct in us turns on our self sufficiency in order to get through hard things. We rely only on ourselves to make it through. You may not have had to work through breaking this habit but if you have, you know it can be very difficult. It is important to allow others to step in and help you and show up for you. You may have always felt alone and you continue to battle on your own. You may see asking for help as weak. Of course there's things and experiences in life we must all do on our own, but there are times when it's healthy to lean on someone else. We all need someone to listen to us, encourage us, support us and when we don't lean into those relationships we will always rely on ourselves which isn't always a good thing. Leaning on a friend, a family member and God can help us get through the hardest moments in life and sometimes helps us get through them sooner than we would if we relied on just ourselves. We don't want to focus too much on what's wrong in our lives so it's so important to allow others to lift us up and to move forward. Protect your focus and be intentional about it. Allow others to show up for you. That's today's message.

Happy New Year everyone! Welcome to the first episode of 2022. We at the show hope you all had an amazing new year celebration and are feeling really grateful for this fresh start. For Emily, 2021 was a ton of lessons learned and major changes which brings challenges. However, she also feels very blessed for so many things the year brought her as well. She begins the show going back to the start of last year and goes into some of the challenges and blessings she experienced. For one, she got an amazing opportunity to work on a Netflix film set training the main actress. That was such a huge deal for her but it brought some struggles as well. She had to be quarantined the entire time and tested every other day for covid and it was a very difficult time for her personally with her physical and mental health. Emily talks about how she dove into EMDR therapy and had to pull out of her prep because she was dealing with hormone issues, which was taking a huge toll on her. Emily emphasizes that dealing with past trauma or health issues is the key to becoming the best and most excellent version of yourself and it will make a world of difference for you. Emily finally made it back home to Texas in April of 2021 and was just so thankful to be in her new home. She hit the ground running with the podcast and was putting out so many amazing episodes every week. She talks about setting big goals in order to inspire taking action to achieve them. What are the small steps you can take today to get you to that overall goal? It requires taking steps every single day. Emily got to do a lot of traveling this year, which means she got to meet so many new people and create new relationships. She talks about taking a chance on love and learning a lot of lessons when that relationship ended. She talks about how important it is to lean into your relationships with your friends in the hard times. Emily found immense peace after praying and handing over her hardships to God and leaning on her girlfriends. Listen to hear what's next for 2022 and get some tips on goal setting.

In today's Monday Message, Emily talks about perspective. Are you someone that focuses on the bad and negative things that happen in your life? Or do you try to see the positive in every situation you go through? You create more of what you focus on, so if you focus so much on the bad you are only creating more of that. Choose to hang around the right people and you will attract more of that. Choose to see the positive meaning in everything and life will bring you more opportunities. Stop focusing so much on the past and what went wrong. Today is a new day and you need to focus on how you can be the best version of yourself today. Show up for yourself and create the life you desire! The actions you take everyday will produce the results you want.

In today's Monday Message, Emily wants to help you make the most out of this holiday season. Are there people in your life who have a history of disappointing you because they are not able to show up for you in the ways you need them to? If so, you may need to demote them from a position they are not qualified for yet. If you keep expecting them to be something they aren't ready to be, you will always feel let down. Once you realize they are not at a place in their own journey where they can be that for you, you will be able to shift your perspective and accept them for who they are. Show them love and compassion during this time and know that we are all just doing our best. Maybe they can't be what you need right now, but if you look around you, you may have someone else in your life who can be that for you. Lean on them and allow them to hold space for you. Go into this holiday season with gratitude, a new perspective, healthy boundaries and with intentionality, create the experience you wish to have.
