Ca: El sol brillava a través de les grans finestres de l'Hospital de Sant Pau a Barcelona.
En: The sun was shining through the large windows of l'Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelona.

Ca: Era primavera, i la llum natural omplia els passadissos.
En: It was spring, and natural light filled the corridors.

Ca: Però a dins, a la sala d'urgències, l'ambient era molt diferent.
En: But inside, in the emergency room, the atmosphere was much different.

Ca: Hi havia moviment constant, amb pacients entrant i sortint, i metges i infermeres corrent amunt i avall.
En: There was constant movement, with patients coming in and out, and doctors and nurses running up and down.

Ca: La Laia era una infermera dedicada.
En: Laia was a dedicated nurse.

Ca: Havia començat el seu torn feia només unes hores, però ja se sentia cansada.
En: She had started her shift just a few hours ago but already felt tired.

Ca: L'hospital estava massa ple, i el personal escassejava.
En: The hospital was too crowded, and staff was scarce.

Ca: Però ella estava decidida a assegurar-se que cada pacient rebés la millor atenció possible.
En: But she was determined to ensure that every patient received the best possible care.

Ca: Sabia que havia de prioritzar, i que a vegades calia córrer.
En: She knew she had to prioritize and that sometimes she had to run.

Ca: Però li sabia greu no poder dedicar prou temps a cadascú.

Ca: A la mateixa sala, el Pau, un metge jove, lluitava amb els seus propis dubtes.

Ca: Des de petit havia volgut ser metge, però ara es preguntava si realment estava fent la diferència en les vides dels pacients.
