Pl: Białowieża las zasypany śniegiem wyglądał jak bajka.
En: The Białowieża forest, covered in snow, looked like a fairy tale.

Pl: Śnieg leżał na ziemi, a drzewa wydawały się jeszcze wyższe i potężniejsze w swojej zimowej krasie.
En: Snow lay on the ground, and the trees seemed even taller and more majestic in their winter glory.

Pl: Był to czas, kiedy Janusz, Agnieszka i Mateusz zebrali się na coroczne, zimowe zbieractwo.
En: It was the time when Janusz, Agnieszka, and Mateusz gathered for the annual winter foraging.

Pl: To był też czas, kiedy w Białowieży odbywał się karnawał, choć nie był to ważny czas dla rodziny.
En: It was also the time when the carnival took place in Białowieża, although it wasn't an important time for the family.

Pl: Janusz był głową rodziny.
En: Janusz was the head of the family.

Pl: Mądry, ale i uparty, wierzył w tradycję.
En: Wise but stubborn, he believed in tradition.

Pl: "Wiedza przodków jest naszym skarbem," mawiał zawsze.
En: "The knowledge of our ancestors is our treasure," he always said.

Pl: Jego córka, Agnieszka, miała inny punkt widzenia.
En: His daughter, Agnieszka, had a different perspective.

Pl: Była młoda, ambitna i pragnęła niezależności.
En: She was young, ambitious, and craved independence.

Pl: Chciała udowodnić, że potrafi poradzić sobie sama.
En: She wanted to prove that she could manage on her own.

Pl: Z kolei Mateusz, jej starszy brat, był spokojny i zadowolony, choć czasem czuł się w cieniu siostry.
En: On the other hand, Mateusz, her older brother, was calm and content, although he sometimes felt overshadowed by his sister.

Pl: Rano, ubrani w ciepłe kurtki i czapki, poszli w głąb lasu.
En: In the morning, dressed in warm jackets and hats, they ventured into the depths of the forest.

Pl: Słychać było trzask łamanych gałązek pod nogami.
En: The crackle of breaking twigs could be heard underfoot.

Pl: Janusz prowadził ich znanymi ścieżkami.
En: Janusz led them along familiar paths.

Pl: Wszystko szło dobrze, aż doszło do rozmowy o sposobach zbierania.
En: Everything was going well until a conversation arose about the methods of gathering.

Pl: Agnieszka zasugerowała użycie nowoczesnych narzędzi, które widziała w internecie.
En: Agnieszka suggested using modern tools she had seen online.

Pl: Janusz skrzywił się.

Pl: Kiedy wróciła do rodziny, miała w oczach nową siłę.
En: When she returned to the family, there was a new strength in her eyes.

Pl: Janusz patrzył na nią z troską, ale i dumą.
