Uk: У вікнах офісу сипалися сніжинки, мов би зимовий танок.
En: Snowflakes fell outside the office windows, like a winter dance.

Uk: Клавіатури клацали без почуттів, а телефони дзвонили, заповнюючи приміщення звуками.
En: Keyboards clicked emotionlessly, and phones rang, filling the room with sounds.

Uk: Олеся сиділа за своїм столом, намагаючись не звертати увагу на січневу втому, що настала після свят.
En: Olesya sat at her desk, trying not to pay attention to the January fatigue that followed the holidays.

Uk: Зараз важливий період.
En: This was an important period.

Uk: Олеся мріяла про підвищення, яке могло б поліпшити її життя й добробут родини.
En: Olesya dreamed of a promotion that could improve her life and her family's well-being.

En: "How are you?"

Uk: ""Привет, Дмитро," - відповіла Олеся.
En: "Hi, Dmytro," replied Olesya.

Uk: "Втомилася трохи, але все гаразд.
En: "A bit tired, but okay.

Uk: А ти?
En: And you?"

Uk: ""Я почуваюся схоже.
En: "I feel the same.

Uk: Зимове сонце не додає енергії," - пожартував Дмитро, і Олеся засміялася.
En: The winter sun doesn't add much energy," joked Dmytro, and Olesya laughed.

Uk: Їхня дружба завжди була міцною.
En: Their friendship had always been strong.

Uk: Але кожен з них не міг ігнорувати правду.
En: But neither of them could ignore the truth.

Uk: Їм обом хотілося здобути це підвищення.
En: They both wanted to get this promotion.

En: She realized that relationships were worth more than winning a competition.
