Ja: 冷たい冬の日、京都の南禅寺は色とりどりの装飾で彩られていた。
En: On a cold winter day, Kyoto's Nanzen-ji was adorned with colorful decorations.

Ja: 今日は節分の祭り。
En: Today was the Setsubun festival.

Ja: 空気には太鼓の音と、豆まきの声、そして笑い声が響いていた。
En: The air resonated with the sounds of drums, the calls of bean throwing, and laughter.

Ja: ユリは友達のミカと一緒に寺に来ていた。
En: Yuri had come to the temple with her friend Mika.

Ja: ユリは芸術家で、最近はインスピレーションを探していた。
En: Yuri was an artist, recently seeking inspiration.

Ja: しかし、彼女は内向的で、活気あるお祭りにちょっと戸惑っていた。

En: "Why do you use beans?" Yuri asked with interest.

Ja: 「昔、鬼が家に入らないように豆を投げたそうです。
En: "They say that in the past, beans were thrown to keep demons from entering homes.

Ja: 鬼は豆に当たると嫌がるんですよ。」カイトは笑いながら言った。
En: Demons apparently dislike getting hit by beans," Kaito said with a laugh.

Ja: ユリはそれを聞いて、心が少し軽くなった。
En: Hearing this, Yuri felt her heart lighten a bit.

Ja: 祭りの意味が理解できると、世界が明るく見える気がした。
En: Understanding the meaning of the festival made the world seem brighter.

Ja: 「ありがとう、カイトさん。
En: "Thank you, Kaito-san.

Ja: もっと知りたいです。」彼の話はユリを惹きつけた。

En: Yuri smiled a little and answered, "Sure."

Ja: 二人は寺の中を歩き、いろいろな伝統について話した。
En: The two of them walked through the temple and talked about various traditions.

Ja: ユリは次第に祭りの一部になっているような気がした。
En: Yuri gradually felt like she was becoming part of the festival.

Ja: 彼女は新しいインスピレーションを見つけ、自分のアートにそれを取り入れることに決めた。
En: She found new inspiration and decided to incorporate it into her art.

Ja: ユリは、祭りの終わりにはもっと生き生きとしている自分を感じた。
