Story Transcript:

Es: En un soleado día de verano, Juan se encontraba caminando por un mercado lleno de gente en México.
En: On a sunny summer day, Juan was walking through a crowded market in Mexico.

Es: Estaba buscando un recuerdo especial para llevar a casa y recordar su visita al hermoso país.
En: He was looking for a special souvenir to take home to remember his visit to the beautiful country.

Es: Juan se detuvo frente a un puesto lleno de souvenirs coloridos y llamativos.
En: Juan stopped in front of a stall full of colorful and flashy souvenirs.

Es: Un vendedor sonriente se acercó a él y le mostró una pequeña estatua de una serpiente de madera tallada a mano.
En: A smiling vendor approached him and showed him a small, hand-carved wooden statue of a snake.

Es: "¡Hola señor!
En: "Hello sir!

Es: Esta serpiente es única en su tipo.
En: This snake is one of a kind.

Es: Hecha por un artesano local muy talentoso", dijo el vendedor mientras sostenía el objeto frente a la cara de Juan.
En: Made by a very talented local artisan," the vendor said as he held the object up to Juan's face.

Es: Si bien sabía que la serpiente no era tan especial como el vendedor decía, estaba feliz con su compra y se sintió satisfecho por haber logrado negociar un mejor precio.
En: Although he knew that the snake was not as special as the seller claimed, he was happy with his purchase and was satisfied that he was able to negotiate a better price.

Es: Al final del día, cuando Juan se encontraba en su hogar, colocó la serpiente en una estantería junto a otros recuerdos de sus viajes.
En: At the end of the day, when Juan was home, he placed the snake on a shelf along with other mementos from his travels.
