Hi: सर्दियों की एक शाम थी।
En: It was a winter evening.

Hi: बनारस के घाटों पर चहल-पहल थी।
En: There was a hustle and bustle at the Banaras ghats.

Hi: गंगा आरती की तैयारियाँ चल रही थीं।
En: Preparations for the Ganga Aarti were underway.

Hi: हवा में धूप और अगरबत्ती की खुशबू तैर रही थी।
En: The air was filled with the fragrance of incense and agarbatti (incense sticks).

Hi: घाट पर बहुत सारे लोग इकट्ठा थे।
En: A large number of people had gathered at the ghat.
