Pl: Był raz pewien Janusz.
En: There was once a certain Janusz.

Pl: Mieszkał na śląsku w małym miasteczku, gdzie wszyscy się znali.
En: He lived in Silesia in a small town where everyone knew each other.

Pl: Pewnego pięknego lata Janusz dostał zaproszenie na wesele swojego dobrego kolegi.
En: One beautiful summer, Janusz received an invitation to the wedding of his good friend.

Pl: Janusz bardzo się cieszył, że mógł być częścią tego szczególnego dnia.
En: Janusz was very happy that he could be a part of this special day.

Pl: Wiedział, że to wspaniała okazja, by założyć swój nowiutki garnitur, który kupił specjalnie na tę okazję.
En: He knew it was a great opportunity to put on his brand new suit, which he had bought especially for the occasion.

Pl: Był biały jak śnieg i czuł się wspaniale.
En: He was white as snow and felt great.

Pl: Nadszedł dzień ślubu, a Janusz wyglądał wyjątkowo elegancko.
En: The wedding day came, and Janusz looked extremely elegant.

Pl: Z dumą wszedł na salę weselną, gdzie wszyscy czekali na młodą parę.
En: He proudly entered the wedding hall, where everyone was waiting for the young couple.

Pl: Zagrała muzyka, a goście zaczęli tańczyć pierwszy taniec.
En: The music played and the guests began to dance the first dance.

Pl: Było wspaniale.
En: It was great.

Pl: Nagle, w trakcie tańca, coś strasznego się stało.
En: Suddenly, during the dance, something terrible happened.

Pl: Janusz, w trakcie swobodnych ruchów, przewrócił się na taczkę, której stał na jego drodze.
En: Janusz, in the course of free movements, fell over the wheelbarrow, which was standing in his way.

Pl: Włosy stojące na głowie, tragedia wydawała się nieunikniona.
En: Hair standing on head, tragedy seemed inevitable.

Pl: Garnitur Janusza zalał się czerwoną cieczą.
En: Janusz's suit was flooded with red liquid.

Pl: To był barszcz!
En: It was borscht!

Pl: Janusz przypadkowo wylewał barszcz na swój nowiutki garnitur tuż przed ślubem młodej pary pierwszy taniec.
En: Janusz accidentally spilled borscht on his brand new suit just before the bride and groom's first dance.

Pl: Janusz czuł, że mu topnieje serce w piersi.
En: Janusz felt that his heart was melting in his chest.

Pl: Cała sala zamarła w bezruchu.
En: The entire hall was still.

Pl: Goście się obrócili, by zobaczyć, co się stało.
En: The guests turned to see what had happened.

Pl: Janusz czuł się jak najgorszy człowiek na świecie.
En: Janusz felt like the worst person in the world.

Pl: Nie wiedział, co powiedzieć ani jak się usprawiedliwić.
En: He didn't know what to say or how to justify himself.

Pl: Wszystko wydawało się stracone.
En: Everything seemed lost.

Pl: Jednak wtedy, zza tłumu gości, wybiegła samotna postać.
En: But then, from behind the crowd of guests, a lone figure ran out.

Pl: To była babcia młodej pary, która nosiła na specjalne okazje swoje najcenniejsze naszyjniki.
En: It was the bride and groom's grandmother who wore their most treasured necklaces on special occasions.

Pl: Babcia podbiegła do Janusza, uśmiechnęła się i powiedziała: "Nie martw się, Januszu.
En: Grandma ran up to Janusz, smiled and said: "Don't worry, Janusz.

Pl: To tylko garnitur.
En: It's just a suit.

Pl: Liczy się to, co masz w sercu."
En: It's what's in your heart that counts."

Pl: Słowa babci przebudziły w Januszu ogromną determinację.
En: Grandma's words awakened great determination in Janusz.

Pl: Bez wahania zdjął z siebie zalaną czerwoną barwą marynarkę i rzucił ją na ziemię.
En: Without hesitation, he took off his red-stained jacket and threw it on the ground.

Pl: Pokazał wszystkim, że to nie garnitur definiuje człowieka, ale jego postawa i uczucia.

Pl: Nagle, wszyscy goście zaczęli klaskać i okazywać wsparcie dla Janusza.
