Fr: Julien se réveilla tôt ce matin-là, le soleil brillant à travers les arbres de la forêt amazonienne.
En: Julien woke up early that morning, the sun shining through the trees of the forêt amazonienne.

Fr: Le village, près de la rivière, semblait calme, mais l'air était chargé d'humidité et de possibilités.
En: The village, near the river, seemed calm, but the air was heavy with humidity and possibilities.

Fr: Depuis la tempête la veille, Julien avait hâte de voir ce que la rivière pourrait avoir laissé sur ses rives.
