Ko: 햇살이 따스하게 내리쬐는 봄날, 해운대 해변은 수많은 사람들로 가득했습니다.
En: On a warm spring day when the sun shone brightly, Haeundae Beach was filled with countless people.

Ko: 사람들은 부처님 오신 날을 축하하며 해변에서 즐거운 시간을 보내고 있었습니다.
En: They were celebrating Buddha's Birthday and enjoying their time at the beach.

Ko: 진수는 오늘이 중요한 날이라고 생각했습니다. 그가 마음에 두고 있는 혜진과 함께 특별한 날을 만들고 싶었기 때문이었습니다.
En: Jinsu thought today was an important day because he wanted to create a special day with Hyejin, whom he cared for.

Ko: 그래서 진수는 커다란 연을 준비했습니다.
En: So, Jinsu prepared a large kite.

Ko: 연은 커다란 그림처럼 하늘을 수놓을 것입니다.
En: The kite would adorn the sky like a large painting.

Ko: 게다가 이번 연은 특별한 모양을 갖고 있었습니다.
En: Moreover, this kite had a special shape.

Ko: 웃기게 생긴 만화 캐릭터 모양이었습니다.
En: It was in the shape of a funny cartoon character.

Ko: "너무 귀엽다!" 혜진은 연의 모습을 보고 웃었습니다.
En: "It's so cute!" Hyejin laughed when she saw the kite.

Ko: 옆에서 친구 민호는 진수를 응원했습니다.
En: Beside her, their friend Minho cheered Jinsu on.

Ko: "잘 날려봐, 진수야. 네가 해낼 수 있을 거야!"
En: "Make it fly well, Jinsu-ya. You can do it!"

Ko: 진수는 마음속으로 다짐했습니다.
En: Jinsu was determined in his heart.

Ko: 오늘은 꼭 혜진에게 잘 보이겠다고.
En: He was sure to make a good impression on Hyejin today.

Ko: 하지만 해변의 바람은 만만치 않았습니다.
En: However, the beach wind was not easy to handle.

Ko: 진수는 연을 올리려 애썼지만, 바람은 거세고 연은 말썽을 부리기 시작했습니다.
En: Jinsu struggled to lift the kite, but the wind was strong, and the kite began to act up.

Ko: 연줄은 어디로 튀는지 알 수 없었고, 진수는 연에 매달려 힘겹게 균형을 잡으려 노력했습니다.
En: The kite string went wild, and Jinsu hung on to it, trying hard to maintain balance.

Ko: "아, 연이 날아가!" 진수는 중얼거리며 연줄을 꽉 잡았습니다.
En: "Oh no, the kite is flying away!" Jinsu muttered, gripping the kite string tightly.

Ko: 그러다 연줄이 그만 진수의 팔과 발에 엉켜버렸습니다.
En: Then the string got tangled around Jinsu's arm and leg.

Ko: 민호는 웃음을 터뜨렸고, 주변 사람들도 그 광경을 보며 웃음을 참지 못했습니다.
En: Minho burst out laughing, and the people around couldn't help but laugh at the scene.

Ko: "진수야, 괜찮아?" 혜진은 진수를 도우러 다가갔습니다.
En: "Are you okay, Jinsu-ya?" Hyejin approached to help Jinsu.

Ko: 진수는 괜히 부끄러워졌지만, 혜진이 도와주니 마음이 좀 놓였습니다.
En: He felt a bit embarrassed but was somewhat relieved as Hyejin helped him.

Ko: 둘이 함께 천천히 엉킨 줄을 풀어내기 시작했습니다.
En: Together, they slowly began to untangle the twisted string.

Ko: 마침내 줄을 다 풀고 연은 하늘 높이 솟아오르기 시작했습니다.
En: Finally, with the string all untangled, the kite started to soar high into the sky.

Ko: 진수는 허겁지겁 공중으로 연을 올려보냈습니다.
En: Jinsu hurriedly sent it flying into the air.

Ko: "됐어! 드디어 날았어!" 진수는 환호성을 질렀습니다.
En: "It worked! It finally flew!" Jinsu shouted in excitement.

Ko: 연이 하늘에서 춤추는 모습을 보며 혜진과 진수는 함께 웃었습니다.
En: Watching the kite dance in the sky, Hyejin and Jinsu laughed together.

Ko: 진수는 마음속으로 알게 되었습니다.
En: Jinsu realized something in his heart.

Ko: 꼭 무언가를 완벽하게 해야만 하는 게 아닙니다. 솔직한 모습 그대로가 중요하다는 것을요.

En: Jinsu's clumsy attempt ultimately brought out Hyejin's laughter.
