Pl: Był piękny słoneczny dzień w Warszawie.
En: It was a beautiful sunny day in Warsaw.

Pl: Położony w samym sercu miasta Ogród Krasiński tętnił życiem.
En: The Krasiński Garden, located in the heart of the city, was teeming with life.

Pl: Zakochane pary, bawiące się dzieci, miłośnicy książek zanurzeni w lekturach na ławkach, całość otoczona kolorowym dywanem kwiatów i zieleni.
En: Couples in love, playing children, book lovers immersed in their readings on the benches, all surrounded by a colorful carpet of flowers and greenery.

Pl: Wszystko to tworzyło niemal magiczny klimat.
En: All of this created an almost magical atmosphere.

Pl: W jednym z zakątków ogrodu, na krytych pięknym cieniem ławeczkach, siedzieli Marek i Katarzyna.
En: In one corner of the garden, on the beautiful shaded benches, sat Marek and Katarzyna.

Pl: Byli to zdecydowanie dorośli ludzie, ale jeszcze nie starcy, obydwoje utrzymani w doskonałej formie, a promienie słońca odbijające się od ich uśmiechów dodawały im energii.
En: They were definitely adults, but not yet elderly, both in perfect shape, and the sun rays reflecting off their smiles gave them energy.

Pl: Jego zamiarem było ożywienie rozmowy, ale niestety, zdanie, które wypowiedział, nie brzmiało tak, jak zaplanował.
En: His intention was to liven up the conversation, but unfortunately, the sentence he spoke did not sound as he had planned.

En: "You see, Kasia, for everything you need to find a middle ground.

Pl: Nie chodzi mi bynajmniej o to, że jesteś jak pies ogrodnika – zakończył Marek z pewnym triumfem, idącemu w parze z uśmiechem.
En: I don't mean at all that you're like the dog in the manger," Marek concluded with a certain triumph, accompanied by a smile.

Pl: Skrzywienie twarzy Katarzyny było jak zimny prysznic dla Marka.
En: Katarzyna's facial expression was like a cold shower for Marek.

Pl: - Co ty do mnie mówisz, Marek?
En: "What are you saying to me, Marek?

Pl: Zawsze mogłam na ciebie liczyć, a teraz nazywasz mnie psem ogrodnika?
En: I've always been able to count on you, and now you're calling me a dog in the manger?"

Pl: – Jego uśmiech napotkał ścianę cichego oburzenia.
En: His smile met a wall of quiet annoyance.

Pl: Marek natychmiast zdawał sobie sprawę, że idiom, który wybrał, mógł być źle zinterpretowany.
En: Marek immediately realized that the idiom he chose could be misinterpreted.

Pl: Próbował wyjaśnić Katarzynie, że tekst, który wypowiedział, był tylko metaforą, ale im więcej tłumaczył, tym bardziej komplikował sytuację.
En: He tried to explain to Katarzyna that the text he spoke was just a metaphor, but the more he explained, the more he complicated the situation.

Pl: Kiedy oboje uspokoili się na tyle, aby móc mówić, Marek, z łagodnym uśmiechem, powiedział:- Przykro mi, Kasiu.
En: When both of them calmed down enough to speak, Marek, with a gentle smile, said, "I'm sorry, Kasia.

En: Finally, unable to break the tension between them, Katarzyna said, "I know, Marek...
