Story Transcript:

En: Astrid woke up one morning and decided to go to IKEA in Kungens Kurva, Stockholm.

En: She was tired of her old furniture and wanted to do some renewal.

En: She had dreamed of a new bookshelf and a new kitchen table.

En: Thinking about this, Astrid became more and more inspired and excited.

Sv: Men när hon klev in i IKEA, försvann all hennes entusiasm.
En: But when she stepped into IKEA, all her enthusiasm disappeared.

Sv: Hon tappade kraften och lyfta upp huvudet blev plötsligt tungt arbete.
En: She lost her strength and lifting her head suddenly became heavy work.

En: She could see a sea of furniture on every side.

En: There were cabinets as far as the eye could see, bookshelves stretching to infinity.

En: She felt like she was already lost.

En: Astrid walked along the marked paths, followed the arrows on the floor, but she got lost again and again.

En: She asked the store's staff for the way out but they just pointed to another arrow and hurried away.

En: It was like an impossible maze, endless, and Astrid became increasingly nervous.

En: But finally, after hours of confusion, something amazing happened.

En: Astrid found a hidden exit behind a large, colorful cabinet.

En: Not an exit to the parking lot, but to a secret IKEA garden.

En: It was a beautiful place, filled with green plants, comfortable garden furniture, and bathed in sunlight.

En: She sat down on one of the blue cushions and looked at the green leaves.

Sv: Det var underbart tyst och lugnt.
En: It was wonderfully quiet and peaceful.

En: She felt so free that she almost started dancing.

En: But that's when she remembered why she had come to IKEA.

Sv: Hon ville fortfarande ha det nya köksbordet.
En: She still wanted that new kitchen table.

En: So, with one last look at the garden, Astrid went back into the...
