Story Transcript:

Ja: アキハバラの街は、いつも活気に満ちている。
En: The streets of Akihabara are always bustling with energy.

Ja: 特に冬の朝、頭上には巨大な看板が立ち並び、人々が交差点を忙しそうに行き来している。
En: Especially on winter mornings, giant billboards stand tall overhead, and people busily cross intersections.

Ja: ハルキは、その中をすり抜けながら、今日の大事なミーティングに思いを巡らせていた。
En: As Haruki weaved through the crowd, he was contemplating the important meeting he had today.

Ja: 「今日は絶対に成功させないと」と、彼は決意を新たにしていた。
En: "I must succeed today," he renewed his determination.

Ja: 夢のゲーム会社に入るチャンスだった。
En: It was a chance to join his dream game company.

Ja: しかし、どこかで落としてしまったポートフォリオを探す必要があった。
En: However, he needed to find the portfolio he had somehow dropped.

En: Finally, with great effort, Haruki rushed to the train station platform.

Ja: ポートフォリオが線路ギリギリに立てかけられているのを見つけた。電車が間もなく到着するところだった。
En: He spotted the portfolio propped up precariously close to the tracks, just as a train was about to arrive.

Ja: 二人は全速力で駆け寄り、直前で無事にポートフォリオを取り戻した。
En: The two sprinted over and managed to retrieve the portfolio just in time.

Ja: 「ありがとう、カオリさん！」と、息を切らせながらありがたさを口にするハルキ。
En: "Thank you, Kaori-san!" Haruki exclaimed, breathless with gratitude.

Ja: 彼女はにっこりと微笑んだ。
En: She smiled brightly.

Ja: 「これでミーティングには間に合いそうだね。」
En: "Looks like you'll make it to the meeting in time."

Ja: そして、ハルキはカオリと一緒に、その会社のオフィスに急いだ。
En: And so, together with Kaori, Haruki hurried to the company's office.

Ja: 会議室に入り、彼はポートフォリオをプレゼンテーションテーブルに並べる。
En: Entering the conference room, he laid out his portfolio on the presentation table.

Ja: ゲーム会社の担当者はハルキの作品に驚き、その情熱と努力を評価した。
