Ca: En un brillant matí de diumenge a Barcelona, el sol etçava somnis daurats sobre les rues romàntiques i angostes del Barri Gòtic.
En: On a sunny Sunday morning in Barcelona, dreams of gold rose above the romantic and narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter.

Ca: Marta, una jove de cabells rosats i ulls brillants, acabava d'arribar a la ciutat amb el cor ple d'aventura.
En: Marta, a young woman with pink hair and bright eyes, had just arrived in the city with a heart full of adventure.

Ca: S'estimava aquesta ciutat, amb les seves esglésies gotiques i places encantadores.
En: She loved this city, with its Gothic churches and enchanting squares.

Ca: Però avui, s'adonà que s'havia perdut.
En: But today, she realized she was lost.

Ca: Havent deixat el mapa a l'hotel, la seva eufòria es convertí en una creixent intranquil·litat.
En: Having left her map at the hotel, her excitement turned into growing unease.

Ca: No parlava ni una paraula de català i l'únic que tenia a la seva disposició eren els gestos divertits i expressius de les seves mans.

Ca: Endinsant-se més en el revoltat laberint de carrers, veié una botiga.
En: Venturing further into the bustling labyrinth of streets, she saw a shop.

Ca: Amb un gest alegre i exagerat, etzibà a l'aire l'olor amb la mà, atraient atencions curioses.
En: With a joyful and exaggerated gesture, she waved the scent in the air, attracting curious attention.

Ca: El venedor d'aquesta botiga, un home gran amb una barba blanca com la neu, parlà amb ella.
En: The owner of this shop, an old man with a white beard as snow, spoke to her.

Ca: Marta, desesperada, començà a fer moviments amb les mans intentant explicar la seva situació.
En: Marta, desperate, began to make hand movements trying to explain her situation.

Ca: Sorprenentment, aquell senyor somrigué, entenent el que Marta volia dir.
En: Surprisingly, the old man smiled, understanding what Marta wanted to say.

Ca: "Sigues valenta, noia.
En: "Be brave, girl.

Ca: Barcelona és com un magnífic ball de flamenc, un pas en fals i estaràs perduda, però t'asseguro que t'oferirà una experiència inoblidable", digué.
En: Barcelona is like a magnificent flamenco dance, one wrong step and you'll be lost, but I assure you it will offer you an unforgettable experience," he said.

Ca: Seguint les indicacions donades amb les mans del vell botiguer, Marta emprengué de nou la marxa.
En: Following the hand gestures given by the old shopkeeper, Marta set off again.

Ca: Però, cada vegada que s'enfilava per un carrer, un altre més misteriós cridava la seva atenció.
En: But every time she turned down a street, another more mysterious one caught her attention.

Ca: Però els seus gestos divertits amb les mans continuaven obrint-li camí a través de la ciutat laberíntica.
En: But her funny hand gestures continued to guide her through the labyrinthine city.

Ca: Finalment, trobà una gran plaça amb una font il·luminada i un magnífic edifici que semblava ser l'ajuntament.
En: Finally, she found a large square with an illuminated fountain and a magnificent building that seemed to be the town hall.

Ca: Amb els seus gestos, preguntà a un grup de nens jugant a futbol.
En: With her gestures, she asked a group of children playing soccer.

Ca: Rient, li assenyalaren cap a una direcció coneguda: l'hotel on s'estava allotjant.
En: Laughing, they pointed her in a familiar direction: the hotel where she was staying.

Ca: Sí, Barcelona l'havia perduda i l'havia trobada, tot amb l'ajuda del llenguatge universal dels gestos.

Ca: Aquell dia, Marta no solament descobrí parts ocultes de Barcelona, sinó que també descobrí un nou mitjà de comunicació, divertit i efectiu, amb l'ús imprescindible de les mans.
En: That day, Marta not only discovered hidden parts of Barcelona, but also found a new means of communication, fun and effective, with the indispensable use of her hands.

Ca: Així doncs, la petita aventura de Marta en els intricats carrers de Barcelona arribà a la seva fi.
En: Thus, Marta's little adventure in the intricate streets of Barcelona came to an end.

Ca: Però el que semblava un problema s'havia transformat en una experiència divertida i inoblidable, i Marta havia après la lliçó de que totes les aventures porten amb si petites sorpreses i aprenentatges valorosos.
En: But what seemed like a problem had transformed into a fun and unforgettable experience, and Marta had learned the lesson that all adventures bring with them little surprises and valuable lessons.
