Fr: Jean-Pierre était en vacances à Paris.
En: Jean-Pierre was on vacation in Paris.

Fr: Il avait prévu une journée de visites, mais il avait besoin de prendre le métro pour se rendre à sa destination.
En: He had planned a day of sightseeing, but he needed to take the metro to get to his destination.

Fr: Il acheta un billet et monta dans le métro, prêt à profiter de sa journée.
En: He bought a ticket and got on the subway, ready to enjoy his day.

Fr: Mais une fois dans le métro, Jean-Pierre se rendit compte qu'il avait pris la mauvaise direction.
